Pablo Picasso was a famous Spanish artist and painter.

He was born in Málaga (Spain) the 25th of October 1881

He died in Mougins (France) the 8th of April 1973

His father José Ruiz Blasco was an artist too and he was his first teacher.

He lived in La Coruña and in France where he shared his experiences with different artists.

Picasso was sad and melancholicHe used only different blue tones.All their faces reflected a big sadness.Some of his drawings are:

-“The Two sisters” -”The old guitar player” -“Beggars next to the sea”…

He began to observe the objects in an intellectual way

He drew them using basic geometric figures

The most important drawing is :“ The misses of Avignon”

With it Picasso broke with the realism and the perspective. It indicated the beginning of the Cubism.

In this period, he showed grotesque, distort and mythologic figures with big proportions.

He used light colours.Some of his paintings are:

“The dream”“Swimmer near the sea” “The crucifixion”

The crowning moment is accentuate by the heads with two faces.

It was the period of the civil war in Spain The most important painting is

“The Guernica” he reflected the consequences of the civil war.

He had a big influence in the development of the modern art.

He changed the patterns in the art and introduced a new way of seeing it.
