Danish designer Helle Damkjær’s rug collection, created in collaboration with kasthall exclusively for carl Hansen & søn, is a testament to exceptional partnerships and ambitious, uncompromising vision.

The Collectionthe collection is based on two unusual natural phenomena, the mirage and the eclipse, and is characterized by distinctive, minimalist simplicity and elegance. inspired by nature’s own color palette, Damkjær’s five round and rectangular designs feature a subdued color scheme of gray, blue, green, black and white hues that are blurred, highlighted or toned down as they overlap.

Born and raised in Denmark, Helle Damkjær today works out of her Paris studio designing exclusive products characterized by her signature organic expression. Damkjær’s sense for trend-setting aesthetics has earned her international acclaim and led to successful partnerships with luxury brands in new York, tokyo, Paris and copenhagen.

many design connaisseurs know Damkjær’s work from her longtime partnership with the Danish design company georg jensen.
