CARGO RECOVERY AND FREIGHT FORWARDING CONFERENCE The International Group of Cargo Recovery lawyers, in association with the Danish Freight Forwarders Association, are delighted to welcome you to the bi-annual Cargo Recovery and Freight Forwarding Conference in Copenhagen on 5 October 2017 at Christiansborg Castle, at "Proviantgaarden", the parliament building, Copenhagen. The conference will provide An international overview of the latest developments in transport and freight forwarding matters Practical claims-handling aspects in relation to cargo recovery and freight forwarding defence disputes from the perspective of the most relevant jurisdictions will be addressed Short presentations and updates on new developments and the most challenging issues from the per- spective of each jurisdiction will be delivered by the members of the International Group of Cargo Recovery Lawyers Representatives of the Danish Freight Forwarders Association will provide a presentation of the freight forwarders’ legal position in case of non-performance of the performing carriers Further, a panel discussion attended by all speakers will during the session deal with the on-going discussions of general relevance, such as the impact and experience from the Hanjin collapse, the prospect of pursuing direct claims against liability underwriters of the freight forwarders or the carriers; as well as the possibility of pursuing claims against intermediary freight forwarders Participation in the conference is free of charge.
