Be neat and legible If you make a mistake,

use white out or a single cross out. Do not scribble.

Make copies and fill out a practice one first.

Fill out everything completely. If it doesn’t apply to you put N/A.

How and when should you follow up on an application?

You should turn in the application, wait about a week and then call to follow up. Call back every few days until you get the answer you are looking for. Be sure to always thank them for their time. Be persistent, but not annoying.

What are some things you should keep in mind when going in for an interview?

Do a dry run a couple of days before. Know how to get there, where to park, how much time it will take.

Dress for success! No perfume, big jewelry etc…LOOK PROFESSIONAL!

Don’t chew gum! Look them in the eye and give a good firm handshake. Try to have good eye contact and keep fidgeting to a

minimum. Show enthusiasm for the job and the company. Answer questions honestly and to the best of your ability.
