DEAKIN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EXCELLENCE• $5000 paid as cash or towards student contributions (tuition fees) per year, or a combination of both to the

value of $5000 per year – the choice is yours!

DEAKIN STUDENT SUPPORT GRANT• This scholarships offers financial support to undergraduate students who display passions, perseverance

and commitment to study despite financial hardship or other disadvantage• Various options available from $1000–$10 000 per year for the normal duration of you course.

NUTRITION STUDENT REPRESENTS DEAKIN AT AWARDS EVENT

Deakin University was a proud sponsor of the 2015 BRW Most Innovative Companies Awards held in Sydney.

Bronte Haines, a current Deakin nutrition student, represented the University by presenting the Most Innovative Culture Award. Bronte authored and self-published Works on Toast to raise funds for Nepal earthquake survivors, with all profits from the book going to the World Food Programme.

Deakin was proud to support the cause by providing copies of the book to all delegates and by donating a further $2500 to the charity.

As we head towards the pointy end of the year, resilience becomes key for both staff and students. While there will be ups and downs, the ability of a person to respond to speed bumps will be a key factor in achieving success.
