Reports to: The Program Manager, Education and Youth Development, at Country Office Purpose: To plan, design, implement, monitor, scale up, and provide technical support and Supervision to BRAC Uganda's Early Childhood Development (ECD) project. Salary: Negotiable,

CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify sector challenges and assess needs to develop

appropriate interventions fitting the Uganda context; • Prepare detailed implementation plans including budget

preparation, based on program targets and adjust with the available fund;

• Ensure design and modification of appropriate curriculum for pre-primary, and 3-5 year olds in formal primary school settings

• Ensure supportive supervision, coaching & mentoring systems for the ECD team at the field to ensure timely technical support and information flow at every level, maintaining quality standards;

• Prepare concept notes for research/study/survey/proposal on ECD issues in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders;

• Prepare and facilitate in preparing different reports and documents on program experiences and processes, best practices and results, including preparing MOUs and TORs for various assignments;

• Ensure effective dissemination strategy for program learning and feedback, study evidences and results considered for on-going program improvement, and for future program interventions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of Masters Degree or Post-graduate specialization

in relevant field preferable in Early Childhood Care and Development, Education management, leadership, policy-advocacy, research methodology, learning and child development assessment, material development, and any other.

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Care and Development, education management, or related field. Learning and child

advantage. • Knowledge of the Ugandan education system specifically about

the available service of early learning opportunities, government policies, departments and institutions in the education field etc.

• Strong leadership experience, policy and advocacy, research methodology, learning and child development assessment, material development, community participation and social mobilization.

HEALTH, NUTRITION AND WASH PROGRAM

112. Job Title: Program Manager; Health, Nutrition and Wash I II (Position- 01)

Salary: Negotiable, Purpose: To implement the activities of HNW program with efficiency and professionalism to ensure the success of the program. Responsible for heading the operations of the program as a whole.

CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide coordination, management and technical support for

the successful implementation of Health, Nutrition and Wash program portfolio.

• Support the corresponding team in the day-to-day management of the program and projects.

• Liaise with in-Country partners, donors, stakeholders, head offices, government officials etc.

• Compile and/or edit program documents such as work plans; program strategy documents; narrative and financial reports; etc.

• Participate in the planning of program events such as workshops, conferences, stakeholder meetings etc.

• Ensure proper implementation of all the Program related activities at the field level; monitoring the key indicators of project implementation.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual program reports, and submit all relevant reports to the Country Representative and 81 anchor as well as to relevant partners (monthly, quarterly,

annual and other supporting documents) on all the Project implementation.

• Prepare and update program training modules, BCC materials. • Incorporate new innovations into the program in collaboration

with the research department. • Manage program portfolio - funds and budgets. • Develop and write concept notes and proposals for additional

projects and funding. • Carry out necessary field trips and site visits to ensure effective

implementation of the project activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A Masters degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or related fields. 7 years experience, 3 of which should be in a similar position. Excellent monitoring, budgeting, project planning and project proposal writing skills. Relevant professional certification (i.e., in project management and technical knowledge and experience in the relevant field. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with minimum disruptions. Ability to create and sustain long term partnerships with other development actors including other international agencies, donors and government. Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) including report writing and oral presentations. Ability to work under minimum supervision and excellent attention to detail.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

• Develop project proposals and concept notes on education and youth related activities for funding.

• Ensuring effective and efficient communication with all internal and external stakeholders including existing and new potential stakeholders/partners.

• Develop partnership with the actors and forums relevant to the program.

• Ensure financial management and accountability for the program.
