ACCESS Training Camp: July 24: 1) 10 Minutes Introduction to Ad Astra a. Explore b. Experiment c. Connect d. Skills e. Values f. Traits 2) 10 Minutes Group activity a. Students break up into 2 groups b. Students race each other to write down as many skills that they can think of 3) 10 Minutes Self assessment a. Students review the list of skills, values and traits and circle those which apply to them 4) 30 Minutes a. 7 minutes group 1 and 2 build a tower (group 3 and 4 watch and assess) b. 7 minutes group 3 and 4 build a tower (group 1 and 2 watch and assess) c. 7 Minutes groups discuss what they saw and give notes to their partners with a list of skills values and traits which they saw in their colleagues d. 7 Minutes students compare their self-assessment sheets with their classmates assessment of themselves 5) 10 Minutes discussion about why Skills Values and traits are important 6) 20 minutes a. Students break up into 3 sections b. Group 1 looks at universities c. Group 2 looks at NGOs d. Group 3 looks at opportunities to discover how Skills Values and Traits can Apply
