What schooling is necessary to be an Engineer? What skills are necessary? Engineering is a 4 year college degree. You would take lots of math and science courses before you get into the core engineering courses. Chemical engineers often minor in chemistry, electrical engineers in computer science all take a lot of physics. All use math extensively. Engineers need lots of math, physics and chemistry.

Types Of Engineers - AEROSPACE ENGINEERING Aerospace engineers design and develop some of the world’s most

marvellous machines. Commercial airplanes, military fighter jets, and space telescopes.

-ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEERING Working alongside architects, architectural engineers focus on the

safety, cost, and construction methods of designing a building.

-COMPUTER/SOFTWARE ENGINEERING Computer engineers deal with all aspects of computer systems

including design, construction, and operation.

-MECHANICAL ENGINEERING Mechanical engineers use mechanics and energy principles to design

machines such as engines and motors. Many mechanical engineers work in the areas of air-conditioning and refrigeration.
