There are two routes to choose from: The Programme or Advanced Services. Choose the route that best suits your circumstances as either an adviser who has recently passed the relevant LTC qualifications or as a more experienced practitioner.

Modules

Care for the Long Term (One day course) Learn how to excel as a care adviser, beyond the LTC qualifications. Understand this fast growing and relevant market and be ready to advise a varied client base. In this module, emphasis is placed on: • Enhancing empathy with a different type of client base • Understanding the many connections involved in the care chain • Becoming a compassionate and trusted adviser Vision Republic will help you and your business to: • Enhance professionalism • Raise standards of advising • Establish ethical benchmarks • Identify market opportunities

Day 1

Care Advice Process (Half day course) This interactive session gives new care advisers the opportunity to explore various funding routes and products whilst at the same time learning how to engage with clients at every stage. Legal Elements of Care (Half day course) This module, delivered by an experienced solicitor, will focus on the legal aspects of care advice as well as the adviser/client relationship, e.g. conflicts of interest with children or others, EPA, Court of Protection and many other relevant issues. Legal considerations are an essential aspect of care advice an understanding issues such as intestacy, mental incapacity and estate planning is vital.

Day 2

Components 1. New Tricks - How to use transferrable skills to become

a professional and compassionate care adviser. 2. Trading Places - Build empathy, understand the many

people and organisations involved in choosing a care product and offer the best advice.

3. Hearing Aids - Communication skills and identifying buying signals in this multi-faceted marketplace.

4. Your Vision - How to become an industry specialist based on your personal strengths and vision.

Components 1. Care Market Understanding 2. Care Funding Solutions 3. Matching Clients’ Expectations to funding

Components 1. Overview of the Mental Capacity Act. 2. The assessment process, duties of local authorities

and PCTs in the care advice process. 3. Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), Property & Affairs

and Personal Welfare and the role of the Court of Protection.

Building a Winning Team (Half day course) This session examines the human elements required to build a winning team, as well as identifying what a ‘win’ is. Understanding how promoting values, rather than focusing on purely financial objectives can establish a world beating culture that automatically achieves its goals. Advanced Business Models (Half Day course) In this session we show you how to fit care advice into your existing business model and then advance your business by developing integrated strategies. The key to sustainable success is planning, mapping, then making new ideas part of ‘what you do’ as a business from the outset.
