Education

Phlebostatic axis-the approximate location of the right atrium, found @ the intersection of the midaxillary and a line drawn from the fourth intercostals space at the

right side of the sternum. The phlebostatic axis is used extensively in hemodynamics.

Left atrium, ventricle, and aorta should be 92-100%--oxygenated blood.

Right atrium, ventricle, and pulmonary artery should be 60-80%.
