A DRUG ADDICT/ ALCOHOLIC
•Who is he? A person, an individual like you and me and the only difference is that she/he takes drugs or ALCOHOL.
•She/he has become dependent on drugs and cannot get away from it.
•She/he is a patient and needs to be looked at as a sick person.
•Once one starts, she/he cannot stop. It becomes a need more than food. •She/he is the only one who can decide when she/he wants to stop. She/he can do it but not alone.

04/20/23
There are many circumstances that lead someone to start taking drugs: - A problem
- A disappointment at work/home/with friends/girlfriend/boy friend etc…
- psychologically weak at one stage in her/his life.
- Influence: “try it you will be a man”
04/20/23
Our reaction?
•They want it.•They can stop•They should be put in prison•They are wrong
But when it is one of our friends/relatives etc.
•Parents/friends relatives feel ashamed. This should not be known.•We don’t come forward.•We give money. We hide things that she/he is doing. We find excuses etc…
