Taking it to STATE!

Kingwood high School Rugby boys, have been undefeated from their very first game till they went to Austin on April 27th & 28th. These boys played rough, and did their very best from the beginning till the end of the game. These boys or known for their hard work, and competitiveness, they know how to work together and take it home each victory! Although, they didn’t win their state game in Austin on the 28th, they played hard and used each and every skill they’ve learned throughout the season to push through each second of the game. Many of our Kingwood boys got awards for hard work and special achievements. These boys have had an amazing season and definitely represented Kingwood this year, good job Mustang boys!

ENDING IT WITH A KICK!The 2012-2013 Kingwood Highschool Fillies kicked butt this year! They had an amazing season, which they won the title of not only State Cham-pions but also National Champions! Unfortunately all good things come to and end... But the Fillies know how to end it with a kick! At the 2013 Fillie banquet the girls had a rocking theme and all had a blast! The banquet is always fun but at the same time a bittersweet moment because they have to say their good byes to the seniors. Although it is still not over for the underclassmen and they are ready to kill it next year! Go Fillies!

Students practice on the range on a Thursday. Freshman students put in three days of practice every week just with school; not to count all the individual practice! Go Stangs!

To the left, Students Jared Guerra, Jack Holmes and Charlie Sun take some practice swings on the range. Charlie says, “Golf is my favorite sport. I enjoy the game a lot and many of my friends play. It’s by far the best team in Kingwood to be a part of.”

Kingwood Golf has had a great season! With Freshman do-ing well in their first season, the coaches are very proud. Varsity boys have had an amazing season as well. They started out winning tournaments and doing their usual great, but the end of their sea-son was unexpected. The Kingwood Varsity boys have not been to state in many years because of previously been in a district with the Woodlands- the rival school. But recently being switched districts, the boys swept regionals with a win. They placed 8th at state, which is good considering the level of talent at the tournament. Great job kingwood golf!

NCL THE KINGWOOD : CHAPTER

The Kingwood Chapter of NCL took a trip out to the wild west to become one with their inner cowgirls. Every year they have their retreat, which is basically a huge bonding session with everybody. The girls love it “It is amazing how close you can get in a few hours!” said member Danielle Deleon. Not only do the girls hang out, but they also are making the com-munity a better place! The girls spend at least 30 hours a year volunteering and doing philanthropy projects! Many of them do much more than just 30! “NCL is an amazing organization and I’m so happy to be apart of it” -Blair Bardwell
