“Did you have fun at camp?” I nd myself asking this question whenever I talk to someone who has been to Lake Lundgren before.

It’s true: camp is a fun place. We have unique activity areas, camp-wide games, and loads of other things to do that are, well...FUN! It helps that I am an activity and game junkie, always looking for something new and dierent for our campers to experience. But there’s more to camp than just the fun. ere’s also more to camp than the ridiculously delicious food and very well-kept facilities.

So what could be better than great food, nice buildings and fun activities? Great question - I’m glad you asked! Here are a few of the things we’ve seen this summer that will have lasting impact long aer the emotions and memories of camp have le:

Over 1,270 campers came and made godly friendships with their cabin mates. Nearly 50% accepted the gi of salvation or rededicated their lives to Christ! Over $2500 was raised by the campers for a local Christian homeless shelter.

So what happens from here? We can’t really know anything for sure, but like it says in 2 Corinthians 9:18, God has shown that He is ABLE...in bringing nearly 200 additional campers to Lake Lundgren this summer, in calling so many of those campers to follow Him, in sending the staggering number of volunteers to make camp run, and in providing the strength and endurance for our sta to nish strongly. Keep us at camp in your prayers as we keep our eyes on the cross and point people to Christ throughout the year.

Our anks! Don, Doug, and Luke put in many hours of hard work. Many volunteers from the camp family gave loving labor. A team from MMAP gave six weeks of volunteer work. 204 camp families gave f inancial gis. Many, many gave the gi of prayer.

e new Inrmary was able to be used the last two weeks of summer camp and the gis given have covered the cost of completing this phase of the project. Our thanks to the Lord! Join us for a dedication of the Inrmary at our Annual Celebration on October 11th

and see what God has accomplished.

Retreats at Camp!Living together with other Godly people brings a closeness that you can’t experience in an hour on Sunday morning. At camp you have the benet of a relaxed environment where you don’t have to shovel down fast-food en route to the next event.

Being a part of a community, even though it’s temporary, means that you are able to be honest and relax with other people. You are able to work together toward a common goal and experience spiritual growth as you allow others to speak truth into your life. Our Winter and Spring Retreats are very diverse. e ladies at Craers Retreat wouldn’t dream of going on the Winter Camp-ing trip. e teens experience something totally dierent than the Couples will. ere is certainly diversity between retreats but also much in common. Don’t just take our word for it, try it out for yourself!

More detailed information about all of our retreats can be found at www.llbc.org

Some Ways You Can HelpHere are four ways that you can be involved in Lake Lundgren Bible Camp’s ministry on a regular basis: 1. Pray! Camp is in session year-round and we would really appreciate prayer for God’s continual strength and guidance.

2. Give! You can choose to support our missionary sta, our camper scholarship fund, our capital campaign, or general fund.

3. Participate! We have retreats and camps going all through-out the year and would love to have you join us.

4. Serve! Any time our doors are open, we are in need of volunteers to help make camp run. Positions include kitchen help, custodial, dish crew, activity sta, maintenance help, or camp nurse. Email [email protected] if you are able to lend a hand.

Also, you can nd a list of needs at www.llbc.org/new/camp-needs that you may be able to help us out with.

Family Camp InfoSpotlight on Winterfest Annual CelebrationAre you looking for an excuse to visit camp this fall? en come to our Annual Celebration on October 11th from 2-6pm. e day will include: an annual report, a camp video, wagon ride, tour, a camper testimony and a home-cooked meal. What is Winterfest like? Some might say that Winterfest is like a nice tall glass of water when you’ve been out in the sun all day. Refreshing!Others might say that Winterfest is like a pair of spiritual jumper cables. Shocking!Still others might say that Winterfest is like nding $20 in your pocket. Exciting!

Come and nd out if you agree, or if you have a totally dierent answer. Either way you can expect to eat good food, participate in some crazy activities and be challenged to grow in your faith.

Our Program Director Sponz will be the Bible Teacher during the daily chapel sessions. If you are in 6th-12th grade, sign up and have a blast with us during your Christmas break.
