Disrupted Markets – Consumer & Cloud
• Face of Enterprise IT changed irrevocably – Outside-In drivers – factors
beyond enterprise control – Inside-Out drivers – managing
agile capacity and obsolescence
• Legacy overhang a big issue – Existing investments – data
centers, PCs – Critical applications
• Service Orchestration – The Hub Platform – A stable base to manage opposing
drivers – Bridge between the legacy and the
world of Cloud-Mobility-Analytics

Workplace Services Orchestration - • Workplace Services Orchestration
complements Cloud Services Orchestration, to drive end user experience
• End user experience enrichment and satisfaction depends simultaneously on two interrelated services – A flexible work place enablement with extreme
ease of access and consumption, rich interface, and choice; and
– Seamless, proactive, and easy-to-access support for that environment, should things go wrong
• New VMware technologies accelerate the development of workplace orchestration extensions

The Second Disruption – Liberated Workplace
• Much of the discussion on Cloud is focussed on disruptions on the data centre, hosting, and processing side of IT – IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
• Cloud has also disrupted the way the end users interact with IT, and indeed with the business, enabling a new, ubiquitous “Triple A” work place – Anywhere and Everywhere – The work place has broken out from physical offices,
and people are able to work anywhere – from home, airports, trains, hotels, restaurants, etc. The work place is no more just a defined physical location, but is virtual and everywhere.
– Anytime and All the time – With the removal of constraints of a physical office, constraints on working hours have also been removed. Users expect to be able to access services whenever convenient or required. No more weekends or holidays, services need to be made available all the time.
– Any Device and All Devices – In accessing service from anywhere and any time, users do not find it convenient or practical to work with just desktops and laptops. Smart phones and tablets are now the staple devices in the new workplace, and wearable computing devices are making their appearance and likely to gain wide acceptance.

The New Work Place Services Framework
• Capgemini has a comprehensive proposition for a modern WPS – Supporting both legacy workplace
and extended mobile workplace – Interfacing with DCS for on-
premise and cloud capacity – Interfacing with AD and AM
services for Apps enablement for hybrid WPS
• Implementations based on integrated VMware core technologies – VDI as a Service – Desktop as a Service – Hybrid Workplace Management – Legacy and mobile devices,
applications, content
