Blade  Repair    Australian  WInd  Services  has  a  specialist  blade  repair  team  with  more  than  30  years  of  combined  experience,  a  depth  knowledge  unmatched  in  the  Australian  wind  energy  industry.      Each  technician  has  extensive  experience  working  directly  in  blade  factories  and  performing  in-­‐situ  repairs  on  a  vast  range  of  blade  types  at  wind  farms  around    the  world.        Our  efficient  blade  repair  team  has  the  ability  to  perform  internal  blade  repairs  in-­‐situ  elimina:ng  the  need  for  rotor  and  blade  removals,  minimizing  down:me  and  providing  significant  cost  savings.        Australian  Wind  Services  blade  repair  services  include:    •  In-­‐situ  internal  blade  repairs  with  

confined  space  equipment,  including  web  repair  and  other  structural  procedures    

•   External  blade  repairs,  including    major  structural  procedures  such      as  :p  replacements

Installa3on    Turbine  Construc3on  Australian  Wind  Services'  technicians  have  the  skills  and  training  to  assemble  all  components  of  wind  turbines,  including  tower,  nacelle  and  rotor  installa:on.      With  access  to  specialty  personnel,  Australian  Wind  Services  is  available  to  manage  the  installa:on  of  large-­‐scale  wind  farms,  coordina:ng  the  process  from  start  to  finish.  Alterna:vely  its  technicians  can  quickly  integrate  into  established  site  teams  to  provide  service,  support  and  specialty  skills.    Main  Component  Replacement  Australian  Wind  Services’  skilled  technicians  have  experience  in  the  replacement  of  main  components  on  mul:ple  wind  turbine  pla[orms.  Regardless  of  the  scale  the  project,  be  it  blades,  gearboxes,  main  bearings  and  generators  replacement,  the  Australian  Wind  Services’  component  replacement  team  will  deliver  high  quality,  cost  effec:ve  results.

Client:  REpower  Australia      Projects:  Northbrown  Hill  (SA),  Woodlawn  (NSW),  Oaklands  (VIC),  Halle`  (SA),  Snowtown  (SA)    Wind  Turbine  Manufacturers:  Suzlon  S88/2100      Dates:  2009  –  ongoing    Since  2009  Australian  Wind  Services  have  partnered  with  REpower  Australia  (formerly  Suzlon)  to  service  their  five  wind  farm  projects  across  Australia.      AWS  has  delivered  a  ‘one  stop’  resource  integra:ng  into  REPower’s  established  project  team  to  a`end  to  all  REpower’s  wind  turbine  requirements,  from  turbine  construc:on  and  repairs  to  ongoing  servicing.  Notably,  AWS  technicians  spent  12-­‐months  on  site  at  REpower’s  Snowtown  wind  farm  implemen:ng  a  program  of  ongoing  maintenance  and  repairs.    Throughout  the  years  REpower’s  wind  turbines  have  operated  at  op:mal  levels  across  all  wind  farm  sites  thanks  to  the  experienced  team  of  AWS  service  technicians  maintaining  a  program  of  regular,  scheduled  servicing.

Client:  Leighton  Contractors          Projects:  Mumbida  Wind  Farm  (WA)      Wind  Turbine  Manufacturer:  General  Electric  (GE)  2.5xl    Dates:  2012  –  ongoing      Leighton  Contractors  assigned  AWS  the  role  of  project  supervisor,  working  along  side  the  project  management  team,  for  the  construc:on  of  the  Mumbida  wind  farm  in  Geraldton,  Western  Australia.      Work  started  promptly  in  2012  with  AWS  technicians,  working  along  side  Leighton’s  team  of  nominated  interna:onal  experts,  to  undertake  all  project  aspects  from  turbine  construc:on  and  installa:on  through  to  the  performance  of  a  specialised  hy-­‐torque  process  and  the  delivery  of  an  expert  commissioning  service.    The  enormity  of  the  project  required  significant  resourcing,  which  AWS  was  able  to  overcome  by  supplying  a  team  of  20  technicians,  administra:on  and  team  supervisors.    AWS  technicians  con:nue  to  work  with  Leighton  Contractors,  as  well  as  the  wind  turbine  manufacturer,  GE  at  the  Mumbida  wind  farm  to  perform  servicing  and  repairs  as  well  as  turbine  inspec:ons  and  repor:ng.

Client:  Pacific  Hydro        Projects:  Cape  Nelson  (VIC),  Cape  Bridgewater  (VIC),  Yambuk  (VIC),  Callicum  (VIC),  Codrington  (VIC)      Wind  Turbine  Manufacturers:  RePower  MM82/2000,  NEG  Micon  NM64/1500,  NM72,  Bonus  B62/1300    Dates:  2009  –  ongoing      Pacific  Hydro  engaged  AWS  amer  iden:fying  a  need  for  an  inspec:on  program  at  their  Cape  Nelson  and  Cape  Bridgewater  wind  farms  in  Victoria.  The  Australian  Wind  Services  inspec:on  team  conducted  comprehensive  on-­‐site  full  wind  turbine  inspec:ons,  including  internal  and  external  blades  reviews.      Each  inspec:on  was  supported  with  a  detailed  report  as  well  as  a  comple:on  report,  outlining  all  the  findings;  iden:fied  problems  and  cost-­‐effec:ve  solu:ons.  This  service  is  unique  in  Australia  and  only  offered  by  Australian  Wind  Services.      AWS  technicians  called  upon  their  turbine  manufacturing  experience  to  develop,  design  and  manufacture  a  mould  :p  solu:on  for  a  damaged  turbine.  Australian  Wind  Services’  streamlined  inspec:ons  process,  and  problem  solving  capabili:es,  ensured  the  solu:on  was  cost  effec:ve  and  implemented  promptly  to  minimise  down  :me  on-­‐site.
