RE: The Cantalamessa Movie – A Docudrama on the life of
Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa – Preacher to the Popes
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
The Church is in a state of crisis that may take years, maybe even decades. As a group of
Christians who are dedicated to the evangelizing the culture through authentic biblical
principles, I can think of no better story to promote than the life and teachings of Fr. Raniero
Cantalamessa. He has been such a great gift to the church, regardless of your Christian
tradition.
I highly encourage you to partner with the Awakening the Domestic Church project, CMax
TV and New Dominion Pictures to produce this movie. It will be such a profound resource
for everyone in the church to use to draw people to Jesus.
In Christ our Hope

October 4, 2018 – The Feast of St. Francis of Assisi

RE: The Cantalamessa Movie – A Docudrama on the life of
Fr. Raniero Cantalamessa – Preacher to the Popes
Dear Brothers and Sisters.
Greetings on this Feast of St. Francis of Assisi – the man Jesus called
to rebuild the Church!
I’m certain that the current crisis within the church is causing you as
much anguish as it is causing me. Even though it may be difficult to
know who to trust in the hierarchy of the church, all of us should be
absolutely convinced that we can trust the Holy Spirit’s ability to lead
us through these trials.
One man that I have learned to trust, both in what he says and in what
he does, is the Franciscan Capuchin Priest - Father Raniero
Cantalamessa, the Preacher to the Papal Household. Fr. Cantalamessa
has been an inspiration to millions of clergy and laity. The service he
has given to the church following his surrender to the Holy Spirit in 1977
has provided Catholics and other Christians a theological understanding
of the importance of Baptism in the Spirit as well as practical insights
to use this Divine empowerment to renew and unify Jesus’ church.
In 2014, during a visit to Virginia Beach, VA Fr. Cantalamessa met
Ashley Zahorian and me. An immediate friendship ensued. The next year
Ashley contacted Fr. Cantalamessa about producing a documentary on
his life so we could use his story to evangelize the world. Although he
actually considers being in the limelight a trial, he agreed. Filming
began later that year and to date we have interviewed Father

Cantalamessa extensively; filmed his friends in Italy, as well as many
international leaders who have been greatly impacted by his ministry.
Our final stage is being prepared to be filmed. We are telling his story
from a Catholic evangelistic perspective, instead of merely from an
historical perspective. We want to lead people to Jesus, to His Church
and especially inspire young men to choose to discern the priesthood.
We plan on filming reenactments of his life starting in January 2019. It
is our intent to have the filming complete and the movie released on
Pentecost weekend 2019. That date is significant because the Vatican
will be introducing CHARIS (Charismatic Renewal International Service)
to the world as a Public Association of the Christian faithful. We would
like to invite you and your group to partner with us in this final stage of
production and distribution of this movie.
Awakening the Domestic Church, CMax.TV, and the Catholic
Fraternity’s North American communities are partnering with New
Dominion Pictures, a world renowned expert in historical
documentaries to produce our movie. We intend to re-create Fr.
Cantalamessa’s life in such a way as to inspire young men to surrender
their life to the Holy Spirit and pursue a life of authentic Catholic
priesthood. This movie will be inspirational for all audiences, not just
Christians. The secular world will be intrigued by the man who has been
the preacher to the papal household for 37 years, serving the last three
pontiffs. Imagine every high school senior and college group, every
Knights of Columbus Council worldwide regularly showing this movie.
How can you help? First please watch the movie’s trailer on our website
www.cantalamessamovie.com. After that please help us raise the final
funds. We are looking for 750 people or groups willing to fund the last
stage of this project with $1000 each. Tax deductible donations must
be received no later than Christmas 2018, but pledges are needed as
soon as possible for our planning purposes. Enclosed in this package
are a description of the movie, a description of New Dominion Pictures,
and the pledge card. We ask you to forward this package to every
Christian organization who you think might like to partner with us to
evangelize the world by sharing Father Cantalamessa’s life story. The
entire package can be printed via our website noted above. Please

consider printing out a package, sending it to your friends and promote
the fund raising endeavor via your social media and in your groups. If 9
of your friends joined you in donating $100 before Christmas you would
be a group! We will list your group’s name in the credits at the end of
the movie and you will receive a special DVD set, with special bonus
material, so you can evangelize from your home or parish. Furthermore,
you will have the rights to show the movie to any audience. This is
especially important for Catholic Media outlets.
Even though we may be surrounded by darkness in the secular world
and in the Church, Jesus is always the Light. Some people, like Fr.
Cantalamessa are called to fight the darkness, all of us though are
called to turn on more Light. Join us in turning up the LIGHT of Christ by
shining it brightly on what Jesus has accomplished through the ministry
of Fr. Cantalamessa. Help us tell Fr. Raniero’s story.
All contributions are best made via our secure online portal at the
website listed above.
God Bless your evangelistic work!!

Why New Dominion Pictures and Nicolas Valcour Nicolas Valcour was born in September 1960 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was baptized 10 days after at the parish Sainte-Madeleine de Sophie Barat in Montreal. At 3 ½ years old he started pre-school at the Sisters of Bon Conseil. He then attended Catholic school in Montreal and received the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. He was also an Altar server and Boy Scout. His father, Pierre Valcour was very involved with the Dominicans. He traveled all over the world to collect money to help the Dominicans fund the University of Rwanda in Kigali. His father was also a cinematographer and produced dozens of documentaries about the Religious Patrimonial in Quebec. They aired mainly on Radio-Canada, French CBC. At the end of his carrier he produced a theatrical feature about Saint Brother Andre who built the first chapel on the Mont-Royal which is today the Oratories St-Joseph. During his career his father met three popes including Paul IV and Saint John Paul II. At a young age Nicolas began to be part of the team helping his father. That’s where his passion for audio-visual began. In the 90’s Nicolas produced his first series named “Archaeology” for The Learning Channel and one episode was about the Israelites and Masada. Soon after three more series were ordered by the network. That’s when Nicolas moved to the United States. As an American producer he produced a series named “The Time & Life of Jesus” for US-News and “The Passions of the Saints” for The Learning Channel. Nicolas’s ambition to help his neighbor continues as he is part of the Haiti Twinning Committee at his parish, Sacred Heart in Norfolk, to fundraise money for founding a school at the parish of St-Gabriel of Lascahobas, Haiti. The fund raising is still active today and is creating a nursery around the school, a water plan and sanitary facilities, cafeteria, and salaries for teachers. Nicolas also teachers baptism classes to the young couples at Sacred Heart and participates at the homeless soup kitchen serving and preparing food baskets for the poor. Nicolas was inspired by a lot of priests in his life like Georges Henri Levesque who found the faculty of Social Science at the Laval University in Quebec City. He lived a few years with Father Ambroise Lafortune, a priest globe trotter who spent 25 years in the French Caribbean. A lot of other priests and laics have influenced who he is today. Nicolas is now the CEO of New Dominion Pictures that has produced more than 800 hours for American Cable Networks and distributes his productions to more than 67 clients around the world. Ashley Zahorian is the Producer/Director who created the project “The Preacher to the Popes, Father Cantalamessa.” For the past few years Nicolas has worked with Ashley and invested talent and money to create a presentation reel for this project, viewable at www.cantalamessamovie.com. The goal is to produce a web delivery ready series of webisodes, ideal for the 18-35 target market, and a 2 hour special ideal for broadcast and screenings to tell the story of the life of this great man to help the next generation develop their faith.
