    Welcome to Canmore Golf & Curling Club

    Fast approaching is our 2011 golf season, which we at the Canmore Golf & Curling Club are prepared and excited for. This year, like the ones before, we aim to surpass your expectations in customer service and pro-vide your golf tournament with the best in course condition, food & beverage and overall personal experi-ence.

    Establishing in 1926; History, pride and breath taking 360 degree views are what the Canmore Golf & Curl-ing Club are known for. Every hole on this 18 hole golf course captures the magic of being in the Canadian Rockies, it is the perfect way for any golfer to escape from reality even for only one day.

    FUNCTION ROOM

    There are three areas in our clubhouse that can accommodate your event: Curling Lounge Up to 40 people in normal table settingDining Room Up to 140 people (depending on requirements)Curling Surface From 100-600 people (April to September)

    SPECIAL DIETS

    We are able to accommodate most special dietary needs. Should a special menu be required please provide us with restrictions ONE WEEK prior to the event.

    2011 TOURNAMENT POLICIES

    1. Dress CodeThe dress code will be enforced at all times; which includes NO DENIM allowed to be worn on the golf course, shirts without sleeves must have a collar and shirts with sleeves do not need a collar. Appropriate soft sole footwear or soft spikes only

    2. WeatherTournaments will be expected to play unless the course is deemed unplayable by the Head Professional or is closed by the Superintendent.

    3. Pace of PlayTo enhance the enjoyment for all players on the course great emphasis will be placed on maintaining round times of 4 hours 20 minutes or less. Course marshals will strictly enforce a three step warning system to maintain a steady pace. This three step warning system goes as followed:

    Reminded of the pace of play and asked to re-establish their position behind the group in 1. front of them. The players &/or player will be asked to play from the yellow markers until their position has 2. been regained. If the pace of play has not improved the offending foursome will be asked to pick up their ball 3. and regain their position.

    4. Food & BeverageCanmore Golf & Curling Club will be the sole supplier of all food & beverage items. Our golf course is licensed area; therefore we will not allow any alcoholic beverages not purchased from the club on the course. Alcoholic beverages will be served in accordance with the regulations of the Alberta Liquor & Gaming Commission. In the interest of safety and speed of play the club may limit the amount of alcoholic beverages served on the course.ONLY Canmore Golf & Curling Club STAFF will drive the BEVERAGE CART.

    5. Booking & PaymentDeposit is due within 14 days of booking the tournament and is non-refundable Deposit can be made by cash, certified cheque or credit card Full pre-payment is required 7 days prior to the event date Account balances are due within 30 days of your event date. If the account becomes delinquent in excess of 30 days the club will asses a service charge of 1.5% per month.A credit card must be provided before your tournament date for any incidentals (ie. Host bar/concession/ tickets, damage to course/carts)Any changes regarding the number of golfers and tee time must be finalized 7 days prior to the tournamentChanges after 7 days will be addressed as available Names of foursomes must be received by the tournament organizer 3 days prior to the event All payments are payable to: Canmore Golf & Curling Club

    6. GeneralMinimum number of golfers to hold a tournament is 24; maximum players is 144 ( if you have more than 144, please contact our tournament coordinator)If you have 20 golfers or less please contact us about our Advanced Booking rates (see our web site for more details, www.canmoregolf.net)Organizers of corporate tournaments shall be held responsible to ensure participants follow the tournament policiesAny damage to the course, carts, rental clubs &/or clubhouse will be billed back to the tournament organizersCanmore Golf & Curling Club does not permit any article to be fastened onto the walls or electrical fixtures. The use of tacks, nails, screws, bolts or any tools which could mark the floors, walls &/or ceilings is prohibitedThe Club will not assume responsibility for any personal property or equipment brought into the club
