ThefollowingisasummaryofhowRSAreviewsandapprovesrequestsforpoliticalendorsements.
• Requests forendorsementmustbesubmitted, inwriting, to theRSAoffice. Requestsmust includetheofficesought,theelectiondate,partyaffiliation(forpartisanprimaryelections),contactinformation,includingtelephoneandmailingaddress,andanyadditionalinformation.
• CandidatesforcountywideandstatewideofficesmustsubmitacompletedcopyoftheRSAcandidatequestionnaireinordertobeconsideredforanendorsement.Yourcampaignwillbenotifiedinwritingifanydeadlinesapplyforthereturnofthecompletedquestionnaire.
• Eachcandidate requestingsupportwill beconsideredby theRSAPoliticalActionCommittee. Thisprocessusuallyinvolvesareviewofyourquestionnaireandprofessionalhistory,andyourparticipationin an interview before the committee if invited you will be contacted by the RSA Political ActionCommitteetoarrangeadateandtimefortheinterview.
• OncetheRSAPoliticalActionCommitteehascompleteditsevaluation,arecommendationissubmittedtotheRSABoardofDirectorsforconsiderationandapproval.
• AlleffortswillbemadetonotifycandidatesofadecisionassoonaspossiblefollowingactionbytheBoardofDirectors. Suchnotificationsaremade inwriting,onofficialRSAletterheadandsignedbytheRSApresident.
