When There’s No Cure…
…there’s Palliative Care:

• It is often home-based and can be administered via oral medicines.

The Future of Chemotherapy - 2
• The treatment may be administered by a team of specialist nurses who provide home care to patients.
• The process is estimated to take a few hours, wherein the drug is pumped out of a pouch the patient must wear for that duration.
• It is not clear how many patients can benefit from this service, but it is estimated to make treatment available more widely in a comfortable setting which reduces the burden on cancer patients.
