Map of Canada Scavenger HuntUsing a map or globe, find the following locations and fill-in the answers.

1. To the far east of Canada is Newfoundland Island. This island was discovered by the Vikings in the 11th century. Write a green V on this island.

2. Heading west is the Quebec province. While English is spoken throughout most of Canada, the official language of Quebec is French. Write “French” in blue in this province.

3. Ottawa, Canada’s capital sits along the southern boundary of Quebec with Ontario province. Draw a red star here.

4. The United States lies to the south of the Canadian border. Write “United States” in alternating red and blue letters along the border.

5. Niagara Falls lies at the bottom eastern edge of Ontario province. Draw a blue waterfall here.

6. Directly north of Ontario is the large Hudson Bay. Write “Hudson” in gray across the bay and make two blue waves.

7. The Canadian Rockies lie along the border of Alberta and British Columbia provinces. Draw three, brown mountains along the diagonal section of this border.

8. At the far western border of Canada and the United States is Vancouver. This city has a British feel to it. Draw a yellow crown here.

9. The Yukon territory is a great place to see the Northern Lights. Draw light green scribbles in this area.

10. North of the Yukon territory and northern Canada is the Arctic Ocean. Write “Arctic” across here in light blue.
