TRAVEL AS A TOURIST TO CANADA

If you want to travel as a tourist to Canada, you must first determine your eligibility and if you need visa or not

As Colombian citizens we need to process a visitors visa, you should apply on line or in paper.

When you´re going to apply online you have to answer a few questions to determine if you can or not apply online, if you can, you must have a webcam, and scans of all your documents to be uploaded at the web site

THE BASICAL REQUEREMENTS

Passport

Good health

Convince an immigration that you have ties that will take you back to your home country

Convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada after your visit will end

Enough money to support your trip

A medical exam

Your relationship with the person

The purpose of the trip

How long the person will stay in Canada

Where the person will stay and how he/she will pay for everything

HOW LONG CAN YOU STAY?

How long can you stay in Canada is determined at the port of entry to the country by a border service officer

Most of visitors are allowed to stay for six months but if you are hot allowed to stay that time, in your passport you will find the date you must leave Canada

if you want to stay longer you should apply for an extension 30 days before the visa expiration date

From 4th september 2013 the colombian citizens from 14 to 79 years old must present their biometrics ( fingerprints and photographs)
