Rai University, Ahmedabad and ASSOCHAMIndias apex andoldest industry chamberin association with KnowledgeConsortium of Gujarat (KCG) organized 'Gujarat Education Summit'at the university campus in Ahmedabad. One of the key objectivesof this event was to build a strong bridge between universities andeminent industries all over Gujarat. The focus was also building aroadmap for creating qualitative excellence in education andexpansion of higher education in the state.

Hon'ble Minister of Energy, Petroleum, Mines, Minerals, Planning,Tourism, Civil Aviation and Labor & Employment Shri SaurabhbhaiPatel, graced the event as the Chief Guest.

The program started with lighting of the lamp, welcome address byDr. Vinay Rai, Chairman, ASSOCHAM National Council on HRD,

Education and Employment. Honble Minister, Shri SaurabhbhaiPatel launched Industry e-Connect, a web portal for facilitatingindustry and student interface for mutual benefit. This online portalis for students of Gujarat to connect them with the various needsand demands of industry, including jobs.

On the second day of summit, the program started with Lighting ofthe lamp and welcome address by Dr. Vinay Rai. On this day,MOOCS Learning Hub was launched along with the release of abook on MOOCs, Move with MOOCs in presence ofrepresentatives from the state government and Dr. Harbeen Arora,Co-founder, Rai Foundation and Chai rperson of Rai University. Oneof the key objectives of the post lunch session was online learn ingand MOOCs courses (Massive Open Online Courses), which willdefinitely change the future of h igher education, all over the world.

EDUCATIONSUMMIT2014

Rai Academic Conclave 2013, a three day academic event

organized by Rai University at its campus was inaugurated by Smt.

Anandiben Patel, Hon'ble Minister of Revenue and Urban

Development, Gujarat Government. She expressed her pleasure

and appreciated the efforts of Rai University students and

management for taking innovative and advanced initiatives wh ich

can take education to the new heights in Gujarat state.

She congratulated Rai University for winning National Award for

Best Upcoming Private University by ASSOCHAM India.

The inaugural session of the Rai Academic Conclave began with

the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests at

the dais. Dr. A Shankara Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Rai University

and a recipient of Padma Shree Award briefly introduced RaiUniversity and the Rai Academic Conclave.

ASSOCHAM Ladies League (ALL) honored fifteen outstanding

women of the state with Gujarat Women of the Decade AchieversAwards for remarkable contribution to their chosen fields. At the

Award Ceremony held in Rai University, ALL conferred on Smt.

Anandiben Patel, Hon'ble Minister of Hon'ble Minister of Revenue

and Urban Development, Gujarat Government with a special

award for Excellence in Governance & Women Empowerment.

Looking Beyond Academics...

At Rai University, we firmly believe in enhancing the skills of our

students. We strongly believe that they must be provided with

organized several times during the year to encourage creative pursuits

DreamZ ScholarshipScheme for Underprivileged Girls

Real development is only possible once quality

education can reach in the remotest areas. RaiFoundation, the sponsoring body of Rai

University, is widely recognized for its

commitment to providing various scholarships

based on merit and means. The main focus is on

providing better education and career

opportunities for young women in the 21st

century from the most deprived section. Rai

Foundation constantly endeavors to provide

educational opportunities to those who need

them the most. Professional higher education is

crucial for the girl child, in order to gain career

competencies, leading to remunerative

placement in industry and enhance self-esteem in

society.

Like its sponsoring body, Rai University also

believes that the development is possible only

when quality education and equal opportunities

are given to the girl ch ild. To do so, the University

has initiated DreamZ Scholarship Scheme for

Underprivileged Girls to achieve holistic and

realistic empowerment of the girl child in Gujarat.

DreamZ Scholarship is a wake up call to the need,

urgency and responsibility for each one of us to

contribute to the society.

With this initiative, Rai University is confident to

create a platform for bringing in some fresh breeze

of hope and achievement in the l ives of a few of

the millions of underprivileged girls.

Under DreamZ Scholarship underprivileged gi rls

of the state are provided with scholarships

including free tuition, boarding & lodging, study

books & materials, for pursuing professional

courses in diverse fields such as hospitality,

fashion, media, business & management, etc.

Transportation for educational trips, Mediclaim

and other peripheral activities related to

academics are also included under this scheme.

Every year a specified number of underprivileged

girls are awarded with full scholarship.

Global Law SchoolLegal education at GLS goes beyond classroom and encompasses practical training

The Center for Research & Development at Rai University offers an impressive range of doctoral
