WVU April 2011 Prayer Letter Bridges Mission Trip CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST Big Break I’ve been to Panama City Beach 10 times for Spring Break. This year was the best of all! 64 WVU students joined hundreds of other students for a week in Panama City Beach for spring break. The speakers are always great. The WVU praise team had the privilege of leading the rest of the conference in worship for the week. (You can read the press release the University published at wvutoday.wvu.edu search “Cru”) Students placed their faith in Christ! I lived with college guys for a week (that was not a highlight) and two of my roommates were Justin and Zach. Sunday night Justin led Zach to Christ on the balcony! It was amazing! (Pictured above sharing their story from the stage). Then we did beach evangelism from Monday-Thursday. By the end of the week nearly 150 people indicated first time decisions to follow Christ. During the 4 weeks of the “Big Break” Conference 465 people indicated decisions to follow Christ! Justin Smith Zach Miller Roger Hershey What is the spiritual condition of the campus at WVU? Every year during Spring Break, a few international students from WVU take a short trip to Washington DC. They learn about the Christian heritage that America was founded upon and they experience the love of Christian homes during their 4-day home stay in the DC area. On the weekend they are invited to a Chinese fellowship at College Park, Md. Here they meet Chinese believers who are excited about sharing how they have found new life in Christ since they themselves came to America. During the outreach time of food, singing, a testimony and one-on-one sharing…4 people prayed to invite Christ into their life. What a joy it was to witness that. Every year I’m amazed at what God does in such a short amount of time. For many the highlight was seeing the National Cathedral and staying with American families.
