• Theme of the campaign and runway is “Arabians nights”. Inspired by the artists from the romantic art movement such as Delacroix

• The theme features lots of earth tones, deep blues and magentas, rich gold embroidery, Persian rug inspired patterns, head pieces, long draping clothes, thick wool suits, light baggy shirts, galabia (long knee/full length tunics).

• Westwood always themes her collections on very specific current evetns or other themes

• The collection is inspired by the Exoticism of Arabian style clothes.For this collection she was commented on the conflicts caused by the stigma people have of the arab style clothing

RUNWAY SHOW

Music - Blakin beat box – habibi Israeli band will be playing “world

music”

The run way will be on the floor as well with models walking on Persian rugs.

Location

Picture taken in England, city/urban/city scene to contrast with the clothes

but at the same time exemplify how the clothes can be worn in an urban

environment.

Tone of communication

Our tone on first glance comes across confronting and bold,

using the arab style clothes in a western country setting to

shock viewers.

But underneath this intial tone we have encoding an irony – take away all the

media and politics and wars, these are just garments and we want people to see this

and instead of thinking of the stigma associated with arab clothing
