FOR MEANINGFUL VACATIONS WITH SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT
SUMMER 2014
CAMP-of-the-WOODSA Christian Family Resort & Conference Center Located in the Adirondack Mountains
WelcomeCAMP-of-the-WOODS is a modern Christian resort located on beautiful Lake Pleasant in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York.
World class speakers are at daily adult chapels while kids and teens enjoy the programs designed just for them. We offer an array of fun activities for the family; you will love how your family will grow closer together.
Most guests come for a week at a time and enjoy staying together as families. Though our name is over 114 years old, our facilities are not. Over $27 million dollars has been invested in the last 15 years.
Join the thousands who come each year to experience our safe and wholesome environment. You and your family will grow spiritually while having a great vacation.

Our CAMP-of-the-WOODS musicians are fantastic. They perform at the Friday and Saturday night concerts, with classical, Broadway, opera, big band and sacred music...truly something for everyone’s musical tastes. They also lead worship at the daily Chapels and Sunday Night Worship service, perform at recitals, plus play at the Monday Night Carnivals.

There is so much to do during the days and evenings at CAMP-of-the-WOODS. Activities include hikes, canoe trips, tennis, shuffleboard, rock-climbing, mini-golf, sand volleyball, many games and competitions, and, of course, the approximately 30,000 sq. ft. Sonju Sports Complex.
Want to kick back and relax? Enjoy our natural sand beach on beautiful Lake Pleasant or star gaze under the vast Adirondack night sky at a campfire! Camp is a great and safe place for kids.

Leaders in Further Training For 19 - 26 year olds
LIFT is a unique, semester-long program designed to train a new generation of Christian leaders. LIFT graduates are better equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century with a biblically grounded and culturally informed faith.
Students grow through solid teaching from our staff and guest teachers, one-on-one discipleship, challenging outdoor adventures, and many opportunities for outreach and service.
Perspectives are enriched and transformed through the two-week cross-cultural experiences. This year’s trips will be to the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.
LIFT is offered at no cost to our students!* For more information, check out our website at:www.camp-of-the-woods.org/#/lift-discipleship
*Students pay for their own health insurance and must raise partial support for the missions trip.

CAMP-of-the-WOODS is a full-service conference center that hosts a variety of church and Christian ministry retreats, including youth, college, men, women, couples and leadership retreats. Groups range from 8 to 800. Groups bring speakers and plan their own programs, while Camp provides great food, upscale lodging, spacious meeting rooms and state-of-the-art recreational facilities. We offer both adult and youth weekends, with specific services and menus for each.
There is a lot to do in the Adirondacks, and groups enjoy self-guided hiking, tennis, mini-golf, shuffleboard, ice skating, tubing, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and more (depending on the season and weather). The Sonju Sports Complex, with its three-court gymnasium, family game room, and climbing wall, is loved by groups year-round. Join the over 8,000 people who came to CAMP-of-the-WOODS for conferences and retreats last season—we promise your experience will be fun, meaningful and Christ-centered.

The PaRTNeRshiP PRogRamThe CAMP-of-the-WOODS Partnership Program was created to maintain and expand our ministry with a wider base of donors. It is comprised of people committed to strengthening the ministry through prayer, sharing Camp with others, helping find potential staff and LIFT students, plus investing at least $1,000 a year for five years.
Each Summer over 10,000 on-site guests and Associate Members benefit from the ministry of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. We are grateful that Camp’s gross revenues cover operational expenses; however, 100% of the needed upgrades and improvements must come from gifting each year...which includes the Partnership Program.
We are very thankful for our 345 current Partners, but are short of our goal of 500. The Partnership Program allows us to impact individuals, families and groups for Christ now, and is also an investment for future generations.

“The Hill dining room has been serving guests for over 80 years. During Summer ‘13 the Hill prepared and served the equivalent of 153,000 meals! Our plan is to start phase 1 of a multi-phase renovation and modernization project in fall ‘13. A new anonymous donor blessed us by committing to fund phase 1 (shown above) which includes floor space expansion and other features. We still need funds for the future phases. If you’re not currently a partner, please consider joining or making a special one-time gift. A recent new partner told us: “I have decided to become a partner to preserve what you have here for another 100 years. My 18 year old grandson told me today, ‘Grandma – when I get married and have kids, I want to bring them to CAMP-of-the-WOODS.’ I am becoming a partner because I want to be part of making that a reality.” Your support is needed!
