At Camp JCC, summer camp is more than just a place where children come to play during the summer; campers discover, grow and learn within a supportive and safe environment!

Throughout the summer, children connect and bond through shared experiences and traditions. Campers and counselors come together as a community at our daily camp meeting, Boker Tov (“Good Morning”) and at Shabbat celebrations on Fridays. Whether it’s a new friend your child makes or the first time he or she swims across the pool, expect to hear exciting stories about what’s happening at camp!

Our CIT program allows teens to gain leadership skills and valuable experience working with children, while enjoying the traditional camp experience. Throughout the summer, CITs will receive training that emphasizes important life skills such as self-confidence, teamwork, and being a good role-model.

The opportunity to work with younger campers will help them develop as leaders and prepare them for future roles at camp or in the community. CITs help implement special camp activities, as well as work on a community service project throughout the summer. They will also have the opportunity to take part in our camp-wide programming and programs designed just for them. CITs are an important part of the Camp JCC community.

Camp JCC is a

day camp. Are

you considering

overnight camp, too?

Page 11: Camp JCC

Our family isn’t Jewish. Is Camp JCC for us? Absolutely! We may say “boker tov,” (Hebrew for “good morning,”) but we say it to welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds! If you want to have fun at a traditional day camp, Camp JCC is for you!

Do you provide lunch and a snack for my child?Lunch is available for purchase on a weekly basis, or campers can bring their own lunch and beverage. We ask that you respect Kosher laws. Please remember that camp is peanut free! A kosher snack is provided in the morning for Lower Camp and an afternoon treat is provided for all campers.

What kind of swim instruction do you provide?Campers learn basic techniques and water safety skills under the supervision and guidance of our Red Cross certified lifeguards.

Can you accommodate children with special needs? The Simon Family JCC works to provide a fully integrated experience for all children. With the help of specially trained staff, we offer accommodations for children with a variety of physical, emotional, intellectual and developmental needs. Initial personal meetings with the family are required before enrollment. Please call the JCC to schedule your consultation.

How do I pay for camp?We accept cash, check, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total fees is due at the time of registration, with the remaining balance due by June 1, 2013. Registration after June 1, 2013 requires payment in full.

Is there a registration fee?There is a one-time, non-refundable $50 registration fee per child.

Do you have a sibling discount? If 2 or more children from the same family are registered for the same week, families receive a discount of $25 per child per week for every child after the first enrollee.

Do you offer financial assistance? The JCC strives to ensure no child is denied a camp experience. Scholarships are available on a first-come first-served basis until all funds are allocated. Applications are available online or at the Center. Financial Aid applications are due by April 15, 2013.

What if I decide I need to cancel my child’s enrollment? All cancellations must be in writing 14 days prior to the start of the week of camp to be cancelled. All deposits are non-refundable. Parents cancelling after the 14 day deadline may be responsible for any remaining balance of the cancelled week.

Do you give refunds if my child gets sick and can’t attend camp?Unfortunately, we are unable to reduce fees due to absence, illness, family matters, holidays (including July 4) or vacations. All registration fees and deposits are non-refundable. The JCC makes every effort to provide campers with a great camping experience, the JCC cannot be held responsible for acts of G-d, and will not provide refunds for natural disasters that may interfere with the camp experience.

How do I register my child? All forms are available for download at CampJCC.org. You can also visit the JCC Customer Service Desk for paper forms.
