Cameras and Technologies We did use some cameras during the filming of our trailer, initially we used a

canon camera and the quality of the camera wasn’t very good at all, it was slighly blurry, however, last year I had a similar standard of camera and it made faults with the video, therefore the quality of the video was not what I had in mind but I wanted to make sure that the film was fully functional.

However, after the first cut had been reviewed we used a HD camera and the camera was slightly improved on the importing of the footage, however when the exporting from iMovie had to be done the right resolution wasn’t selected so the HD capabilities were not fully achieved, therefore when our work was being shown the work did look a poor quality.

In the future I will remember to firstly get the best camera I can to begin with and make sure I export to the maximum capabilities regardless of the duration of time it make take to do so.

Photoshop One of if not the most important part of the making of the magazine and film

posters is Adobe Photoshop, at home I was using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and in school I was using CS6, although they may be very similar the outcome is slightly better, the Photoshop capabilities allowed me to design my own shapes, import my own fonts, and edit my own images, this allowed me then to customise all the fonts, images and shapes I needed to, which made creating the magazine cover and film poster quite easy but time consuming, using my experiences from previous years I could then make the posters a decent standard. This means that I could develop the quality of image and therefore develop the all round quality of the cover and poster, Photoshop was absolutely vital in the creation of both of these.
