Camera Accessory Solutions offers four types of sliding camera support bottom base plates. They are lightweight, rigid, durable and versatile. They all come black hard anodized with all major metal components made from stainless steel to prevent rusting and excessive wear.

The honeycomb type design on the underside of all base plates drastically reduces weight while maintaining rigidity from flexing and possible warping.

Equally spaced custom designed stainless steel 3/8-16 threaded inserts run through the entire thickness of the base plate as well as secondary dovetail slots along the bottom edge. This allows the user to mount these plates to a camera head with the standard Sachtler style quick-release plate or mount the base plate directly onto an O’Connor style fluid head dovetail mount.

The B1 12” & B2 18” Standard Base Plate bottom camera support offers many attributes-

• Lightweight, rigid and durable. These Base Plates are milled from high strength aircraft quality aluminum and hard anoized for optimum scratch resistance

• Dual camera release design allows the camera to be slid off the back of the base plate by pressing on the top button or on the back face of the plate. On the B2 18” the button mechanism is located on both ends of the base plate, offering the ability to slide the camera off from either end. This is useful when handling the camera while wearing bulky gloves.

• 3/8-16” x ¾” length standard high strength stainless steel inserts provide great thread wear resistance from attaching and removing Sachtler-style quick-release plates as well as bottom dovetails cut in for use directly onto O’Connor style fluid heads.

The B3 24” & B3 18” Base Plate, supplementary lens support bottom base plate offers many attributes when used with extraordinarily large lenses.

• Provides additional lens support with a supplemental 15mm or 19mm rod bracket in the front. This reduces stress on the lens mount during transport and handling of the camera whether it is being carried or driven around from spot to spot on a dolly.

• Supplementary rod support reduces stress on studio rods, preventing rods from being bent.

• Supplementary rod support bracket is equipped with captivated fasteners and built-in alignment pins. It can be set in three height positions for use with the BP3, BP7 or BP9 Arri style top base plates.
