Shot 1

This is a wide shot that moves out of focus into a close up that then turns back into focus. It does this to draw the attention towards the cake and this is called a tracking shot.

Shot 2

This is a static shot, There is no movement in this shot so we are not distracted and we are focused on the main girl (Sarah).

Shot 3

This shot is a (POV) this stands for point off view shot and this is a point of view from the mother, thinking of her dead daughter while she is unconscious in the hospital bed bowling out her birthday candles.

Shot 4

This is a Cantered angle shot, this shot means its not straight and its at an angle. Its there to show something's different and not right.

Shot 5

This Mid shot, in this shot she has only just woke up and is looking confused about her surroundings. Through this shot we get an idea of all the confusion emotion Sarah has through her head.

Shot 6

This is a static wide shot, this shows the darkness at the end of the hallway coming towards her. She looks scared because there is something in the darkness coming for her.

Shot 7

This is a close up shot, it shows the terror in her eyes because of the darkness that’s coming to get her and she is looking it straight in the eyes. She has a sudden urge to run.

Shot 8

This is a (POV) point of view shot from the darkness that is chasing her. Its running after her trying to surround her in darkness.

Shot 9

This is a steady cam shot, This is when she finally leaves the darkness and sees her friend but calls her by the name of her daughter Jessie and she longs for her daughter.

Shot 10

This is another steady cam shot, which shows Sarah devastated as she realizes that her daughter is dead and she has comfort from her friend who keeps saying “I'm sorry”.

Shot 11

This is another close up shot, this is of Sarah’s friend Juno showing sadness, loss and upset for the death of her friends daughter.

Shot 12

This is another steady cam show, but this steady cam shot is moving away while people and objects move towards the center of the shot. The effect this shot gives is ignorance, due to people ignoring Sarah and just walking around her not even acknowledging the fact she is on the floor crying and distraught.
