Course dates for 2020: 6 th July – 31 st July (4 weeks) Exam 27 th – 31 st July 3 rd August – 28 th August (4 weeks) Exam: 24 th – 28 th August Course details Students study for 23 hours and 20 minutes per week in a dedicated examination closed group: every morning, plus four afternoons a week. In addition to this, students should expect 2 hours’ self-study per day. Students are also encouraged to make use of the Study Centre developing their study skills. During the lessons, students study general and examination English at an advanced level. Teachers help students to develop efficient exam techniques and provide structured exam practice, including practice tests under examination conditions, with detailed feedback on performance. The course covers all the major skills areas, including reading, writing, speaking and listening alongside grammar accuracy and vocabulary range. The course will also include weekly progress tests and student self-reflection; monthly goals will be set during regular monthly tutorials with your teacher who will discuss your progress and future study with you. Students will be given a mock exam at or before the beginning of the course in order to check their level, and on completion of the course they will take the examination through The London Exam Centre, which is part of the school.
