RESOLUTION
• ALEXA has a 3.5K CMOS Imager yielding either a 2K or 1920 X 1080 HD image. Becase of ALEXA's use of the continuously improving ARRI Imaging Technology (AIT), images are sharper and cleaner than other cameras that claim 4K+ resolution.
AIT
• The amazing filmic look of images shot with the ALEXA and ARRIFLEX D-21 is the result of a custom designed CMOS sensor, an optical low pass filter, a powerful imaging hardware engine, and advanced image processing algorithms. The innovative orchestration of all these proprietary components is ARRI Imaging Technology(AIT).
AIT ADVANTAGES
• Provides super sharp, alias-free images through over sampling
• DPC guarantees that no single defective pixel will ever be visible
• Black balancing circuit automatically calibrates black level of each pixel in each frame
• Produces cinematic look and feel, high contrast and the highest dynamic range
