Practical Experience
GP Retail (3rd Party for Pick ‘n Pay)
Site manager for GP retail – worked as a third party labour broker main responsibilities were providing the client with staff in various departments of the site.
Areas of responsibilities - were picking in both groceries and perishables, driving pickers to achieve client KPI per shift day and night.
Receiving perishables – Receiving of stock and the clerks capturing it on the system from vendors.
Loading in perishables – Loading of all stock going to stores ensuring the loaders follow correct procedures as well as reaching KPI and making sure stock reaches correct Location.
Reach truck and Forklift – which were responsible for moving stock from inbound into the DC, driving correct put away into assigned bin locations as well as correct replenishments to be done.
Responsible for Monthly scorecards with PnP senior management.
Responsible for driving short/over picks and pick rate rapports as well as managing the compliment of staff according to volume requirements.
Do daily reports on SAPP
Staff rostering and planning following days staff requirement.
Responsible for reaching daily targets. Sending out daily rapports on previous day’s performance to the business.

And management over equipment such as trucks and trailers and other general operating systems.
GLS Supply Chain Management (Regional Maintenance Manager ) Offsite
Daily maintenance on sites such as – Digistics Long meadow, Centurion and Midrand. Other sites such as Mass distribution and dawn logistics this maintenance entails all equipment repairs, rebuilding and assembling of new equipment (roll cages, standard/high security roll cages, tote bins ,hyper cages).
Also in charge of KZN PNP, MASS and Digistics ( same as above )
In charge of an offsite Wear house where shipping containers are received equipment is put into stock. Most assembling of equipment is done here before delivered to new or existing clients.
Responsible for weekly meetings with clients with whom I share an exceptional relationship and service.
Monthly stocktake are done.

To whom it may concern Reference/Recommendation Letter Calvin Young has been working under my supervision as a Groceries/perishables floor Manager and then became site manager for GP Retail Operations at Pick n Pay Longmeadow. He is a hard worker and has very strong leadership skills in the work place. Calvin is a person who can work under tremendous pressure and never loses focus on what he’s been doing.
