Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

GOD’S SUMMONS If we are not able to witness concretely to the love of Christ in our lives, then we are truly salt that has gone tasteless. Our flavor and impact are lost. How difficult it is to get them back again. In the late 1940s the Christophers movement began in the United States. The Christophers’ motto, “It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness,” attracted many through the Christophers’ effective use of the media, advertising, and the encouragement of its members to proclaim Christ in the workplace. Jesus calls us to be that candle and to set ourselves in the most visible place. Jesus, who brought eternal light to the world, tells us that we, too, are the light of the world. Through our words and actions we must let our light shine in the sight of all so that in seeing our good works, everyone may give praise to God. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

Marriage Day Prayer
Almighty and eternal God, You blessed the union of
married couples so that they might reflect the union of
Christ with his Church: look with kindness on them.
Renew their marriage covenant, increase your love in them, and
strengthen their bond of peace so that, with their children, they may always rejoice in the gift of your
blessing. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
Happy Valentine’s Day
May this day remind us all that the first and most important
friendship is the life and love God has shared with us!
Alligator wrestling: “anyone”? A tourist was admiring a necklace worn by a local Indian; she asked: What’s that made of?” Indian said: “Alligator’s teeth.” She says: “I guess that means as much to you as pearls do to us?” He says: “Oh no, anyone can open an oyster!”
