QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to the quilt photo for placement of fabrics and blocks.

Pinwheel BlockDraw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the clean white solid 5” squares. Place clean white solid 5” squares on top of the gray damask

and orange deco 5” squares. Sew ¼” on each side of the drawn line. Cut on the lines to make 36 Half Square Triangles (16 Gray and 20 Orange). Press. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 4½”.

Referring to the block diagram for placement, sew 4 Half Square Triangles together to create the Pinwheel Block. Repeat to make 9 Pinwheel Blocks (4 Gray and 5 Orange).

Four-Patch BlockSew 2 clean white solid 4½” squares, 1 citron damask 4½” square, and 1 blue curtain 4½” square together to create the Four-Patch Block. Repeat to create 8 Four-Patch Blocks.

Two-Patch BlockSew a clean white solid 4½” x 8½” rectangle and a citron damask 4½” x 8½” rectangle together to create the Two-Patch Block. Repeat to create 4 Two-Patch Blocks.

Setting TrianglesSew a gray deco triangle to each side of a citron damask 4½” square to create the Setting Triangle. Repeat to create 12 Setting Triangles.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to the quilt photo for Pinwheel Block, Center Block, Four-Patch Block, Two-Patch Block, and Setting Triangle placement. Sew rows together on the diagonal to complete the center of the quilt. Add Corner Triangles. The Corner and Setting Triangles are intentionally larger in order to square up the quilt center, leaving ¼” seam allowance on all sides.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 45¾”. Top and bottom borders should be 49¾”.

Border 2Side borders should be 49¾”. Top and bottom borders should be 55¾”.

Border 3Side borders should be 55¾”. Top and bottom borders should be 67¾”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Ashbury Heights Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
