The TERRITOIRES EN IMAGES photo competition is open to any photographic project whose author deems that it includes a documentary look at the theme of the festival edition (TERRITORY(IES)).

The documentary point of view of the photographic project will be particularly taken into account.

The printing value of photographic projects is limited to 150€ including tax for the entire project, as the Association does not wish to have too great a differences in the treatment of photographic prints. The photographer will justify any use of Dibond, lamination or other specific device different from photo paper.

Photographers may choose not to exhibit on panels and prefer other media at their convenience. In this case, the photographer will create the whole of his support (book, folded support like accordion, mobile, photos on transparent pvc …). This needs to be explained in the registration form and the photographer will specify his project.

How to participate?

Photographers will send a single project to the Arrimage association's e-mail ([email protected]) including :

- In the subject of the mail " TEI2020 - PHOTOS - (name of the project) ".- The registration form, pdf format (details below)- Each photo individually, in a format that can be enjoyed individually on a computer screen

as well as in projection.

Registration form :- Name of photographer(s)- status: professional, amateur, student- Project Title- For each photograph:

o Titleo where the photograph was takeno date the picture was takeno dimension width x height of each photograph in accordance with the intended

printing- Note of intent qualifying the project, limited to 2000 characteristics. This note will be

included in the project presentation cartel for the exhibition

All of these elements will participate in the choices: - first of all that of the Association Arrimage to expose the photographic project- secondly that of the Jury

Photographic projects will be judged as received, on screen and in projection, all under the same viewing conditions.

Arrimage association cannot be held responsible for the loss of documents and data of the candidates before they are received at the association's head office.

When will the selection be known?

The selection will be made public in July 2020 among the selected photographers.

What should I do after a selection?

You will have until October 1st, 2020 to send the paper prints of your photos to: Association Arrimage, Institut de Géographie, 191 rue Saint Jacques, 75005 Paris. These draws must comply with the dimensions indicated on the entry form provided during the pre-selection process. They may also be handed in personally to the Institute of Geography.

Dates and place of the festival?

The festival takes place in November 2020 at the Institute of Geography in Paris. The photographs are exhibited in its hall, on a scenography set up specifically for the event. Depending on the funding and orientations of the Association, a second exhibition may be held during the festival on a different site. The precise dates will be communicated later.

Who awards the prizes?

The festival's photo jury is composed of image professionals, students and teachers. Its composition will be known and published at the latest at the opening of the festival. The jury meets on Saturday. Throughout the festival, the public is called upon to vote for the photographic project it deems most relevant. The counting of the votes is done by the ARRIMAGE association one hour before the awarding of the honorary prizes.

What happens to the photographic works/projects after the exhibition?

ARRIMAGE association keeps the photographic works/projects and works on the diffusion of the exhibition in other places. The photos sent may be the subject of other exhibitions after agreement with the photographer. The photographs may also be offered to be returned to the photographer, at the discretion of the Association, or destroyed. It should be noted that the Association Arrimage monitors the works entrusted to it but cannot be held responsible for any damage to the photographic prints due to knocks, falls or deliberate damage.
