    Being on the IPSF Executive Committee is a challenging task, but at the same time it is a rewardingexperience. While each portfolio has a different focus, each Executive Committee member should beable to work for IPSF on a daily basis with good and regular internet and email access. IPSF offers

    each Executive Committee member an annual travel stipend in accordance with the frameworkdeveloped by the General Assembly, but you will be required to cover the cost of the rest of your IPSFwork-related travel. It is recommended that Executive Committee members attend the two ExecutiveCommittee meetings, held usually in Portugal, as well as, the IPSF World Congress. Depending onyour portfolio, it is usually beneficial for the development of the Federation if you can also attend othermeetings or conferences to represent IPSF, to stay updated with issues pertaining to the pharmacyprofession, and to network with key individuals and allied organisations.

    Applications for the Executive Committee need to be the submitted to the Secretary General bySaturday, 2nd of August 2014, 11:60pm, GMT+0.

    If you are not able to attend the World Congress, you can also submit your nomination form by emailto [email protected] and you must make yourself available at the selected time during the General

    Applicants for the Executive Committee are strongly advised to attend the Leaders in Training (LIT)event prior to the Congress, since this is a great opportunity to meet the Executive Committee tounderstand what it is like to be part of the IPSF team, know more about IPSF from a ExecutiveCommittee member perspective, and to gain important skills you will need during the Executive term.

    President

    As the President you are responsible for representing the Federation, coordinating and overseeing thedevelopment of activities and projects, ensuring sound financial standing and administration, fosteringpartnerships with allied organisations, maintaining communication with members and professionalcontacts, and offering leadership and direction towards strategic goals.

    Confidence and proficiency in oral and written English, presentation and communication skills,effective time management, and organisational skills are important to the position. One of the mostimportant roles you play is in supporting your fellow Executive Committee members on projects,reviewing documents, publications and content for projects, and giving feedback on various issues.Hence, the ability to lead and work well in a team is vital to being innovative in solving problems,ensuring projects follow timelines and action plans, and developing new projects and ideas.

    Previous experience in IPSF and a leadership position is highly recommended. To meet theseresponsibilities you should be prepared to travel to attend local, regional and international events,correspond regularly with Executive Committee members and contacts, promote IPSF through allmeans, monitor progress on projects and activities, and actively investigate and follow up on

    opportunities for strategic development.

    It would be most effective to undertake this position with only very limited time pressure from othercommitments. This position is best suited to someone who is able to take a year off work or perhapsundertake part-time commitments only so that you are able to commit at least 40 hours a week to theposition. It is strongly recommended to move to The Hague, The Netherlands. It can be done whilestudying, but maybe not in the hardest year of the university.

    Candidates should be prepared to be able to support themselves financially over the year for coverageof travel costs to meetings such as the IPSF Congress, FIP Congress, FIP Board of PharmaceuticalPractice meeting, regional events, Executive Committee meetings, professional meetings at the WHOand UNESCO, and member association and pharmacy-related events.     Secretary General

    As the Secretary General you are responsible for the administrative stability of the Federation. You willneed to update the Official Documents, chair the Constitutional Working Committee, advise otherExecutive Committee members about administrative and constitutional issues, prepare agendas, takeminutes at meetings and coordinate preparations of the minutes after the General Assembly. Youshould have a basic interest in moderation of online tools as surveys, online voting, online storage for

    files storage and the IPSF Team email groups. The Secretary General is also responsible formaintaining the IPSF Archives and file backups, so you will need to spend a few days in The Hague atthe IPSF headquarters during the year.

    This position requires a good level of written English, interest in administrative tasks and a thoroughknowledge of the Federations Official Documents and recent history. The position requires between20 and 25 hours a week. As for all Executive positions it is important for the Secretary General to beable to go beyond his or her own portfolio to support other Executive members if they needassistance. The Secretary General will be elected for a two year term.

    As Chairperson of External Relations you are responsible for maintaining relations with professionalcontacts and allied organisations.You should participate in joint working groups with the Federations allied organisations,; ensuremaintenance of contacts and liaisons between related outside bodies and the Federation and organisemeetings where appropriate; to be responsible for securing new strategic partnerships as well as

    obtaining appropriate sponsorship and funding for the Federation with the help of the President andthe IPSF Corporate Relations Committee, where you will serve as chair.To ensure sponsors are acknowledged in the manner agreed between the Federation and thesponsor, in liaison with the Chairperson of Media and Publications and President.To actively publicise IPSF and international pharmaceutical students events.

    One can expect to dedicate 25 - 30 hours a week to complete the External Relations tasks. While thebusiness of the Federation is regularly conducted in English, a working knowledge of other officialFederation languages (French, Arabic, and Spanish) would be a considerable asset. To be successfulat this portfolio, candidates must have access to email on a daily basis. It can be done while studying,but maybe not in the hardest year of the university.

    Excellent communication skills, extensive knowledge of the Federation and how it operates, motivation

    to travel and promote the Federation and its activities, and a contagious exuberance for IPSF aredefinite assets in successfully completing the expectations of this position.

    Chairperson of Internal Relations

    As Chairperson of Internal Relations you will be responsible for maintaining communication with IPSFMember countries to ensure they are satisfied with what IPSF has to offer, and in turn bringing forthrecommendations for improvement from Members to the IPSF Executive.

    Administratively, the Chairperson of Internal Relations is responsible for updating information lists ofContact Persons as well as keeping the Contact Persons Handbook up dated. The Chairperson ofInternal Relations is also supervising the Regional Relation Officers in their duties. It is the duty of theChairperson of Internal Relations to convene the scheduled Contact Persons meeting at the IPSFWorld Congress. The position is responsible for the management of the IPSF Contact Person and VIPe-groups.

    A significant portion of this portfolio is dedicated to the promotion of IPSF to Non -Member countries, Itis also important to focus on promoting IPSF to current Members to maintain activity and strength inthe Federation. The position is responsible for the management of the Membership PromotionCommittee e-groups and should also coordinate the Individual Membership and Affiliated Individualsof the Federation in terms of administration and promotion with the Treasurer, Chairperson of StudentExchange and Permanent Officer.

    The Chairperson of Internal Relations should also be in close contact with the Honorary Life Membersand Alumni.

    One can expect to dedicate 20-25 hours a week to complete the Internal Relations tasks. To besuccessful at this portfolio, candidates must have access to email on a daily basis. It can be donewhile studying, but maybe not in the hardest year of the university.

    Team management

    The Chairperson of Media and Publications has quite a few teams to manage, including the EditorialCommittee (chaired by the Editorial Committee Coordinator), the Design and Creativity Committee(chaired by the Design Coordinator), the Marketing Coordinator, the Merchandise Coordinator and theRegional Media and Publications Officers. For more information on these teams, which is extremely

    advisable, take a look at the call for Coordinator and Committee positions.

    The time commitment for the position ranges from 20 hours to 25 hours a week, depending on periodsand on team members. It can be done while studying, but maybe not in the hardest year of theuniversity.

    Chairperson of Pharmacy Education

    As Chairperson of Pharmacy Education you will be responsible for coordinating and developing all

    projects/initatives related to Pharmacy Education and Pharmaceutical Science for the Federation.This portfolio encompasses the development and organisation of Educational and Scientific Symposiaand any related sessions and workshops in all IPSF Events and any additional external events (ifapplicable), IPSF publications related to pharmacy education and pharmaceutical science, Internshipopportunities for IPSF members, and research projects relevant to pharmacy education.

    You are also the IPSF liaison to the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Board ofPharmaceutical Practice (BPP), FIP Pharmacy Education Initiatives (FIP Ed ), and UNESCO. Incoordination with IPSF President, you are responsible maintaining the collaboration and investigatingfurther opportunities to develop new projects/initiatives related to pharmacy education with these threeexternal partners.

    In order to carry on your duty you will be assisted by Pharmacy Education Research Coordinator,Educational and Scientific Publications Coordinator, Internship Coordinator and members of PharmacyEducation Committee.

    This position would suit someone who has a significant amount of interest in and awareness ofeducational and social trends and issues relating to the profession. Past involvement in IPSF and theability to work independently are a must. Previous experience in organising campaigns or events,multi-tasking or good time management skills, as well as fluency in written and spoken English arehighly beneficial. You can expect to dedicate an average of 20 hours a week. It can be done whilestudying, but maybe not in the hardest year of the university.     Chairperson of Professional Development

    As Chairperson of Professional Development you will be responsible for coordinating and developingthe pharmacy practice and professional development opportunities for the Federation. This portfolioencompasses the Patient Counselling Event (PCE); the Clinical Skills Event (CSE), the trainingprojects Leaders in Training (LIT) programme and Trainers Development Camp (TDC), as well as, thePharmacy Profession Awareness Campaign (PPAC) and Compounding Event (CE). You are expectedto provide support and advice to IPSF Members running the relevant events.

    You will coordinate the organisation of the IPSF Leaders in Training (LIT) programme at the WorldCongress and regional events. The Chairperson is responsible for organising workshops related to theportfolio at the World Congress.

    You will supervise the multi-disciplinary Teddy Bear Hospital (TBH) project looking for collaborationopportunities with International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA). The Chairpers onis responsible to promote this multi-disciplinary event to IPSF member countries and to give themnecessary assistance.

    This position would suit someone who has a significant amount of interest in and awareness of issuesof pharmacy practice and professional development. In addition it would be beneficial if you had sometraining experiences. Past involvement in IPSF and the ability to work independently are a must.Previous experience in organising campaigns or events, multi-tasking or good time management skills,as well as fluency in written and spoken English are highly beneficial. You can expect to dedicate anaverage of 20 hours a week. It can be done while studying, but maybe not in the hardest year of theuniversity.

    Chairperson of Public Health

    As the IPSF Chairperson of Public Health you are responsible for perpetual planning, promoting,improving and implementing IPSF Public Health Campaigns and special projects. As Chairperson, youare the focal point to the World Health Organization (WHO). This requires you to be up to date on thelatest information regarding Public Health that comes from WHO and share it with our members. Youwill also be responsible for publishing the Public Health SPOT at least once a year.

    A big part of your role is planning the World Health Assembly. You will be responsible for selecting ourdelegation and organizing logistics for this conference. You will also be working with the President andthe Chairperson of External Relations to organise policy statements and meetings with future externalpartners. You will also coordinate Public Health related activities during World Congress and Regionalmeetings.

    As Chairperson of Public Health, one can expect to dedicate at least 20 - 25 hours per week onmaintaining the portfolio, but this of course depends on how the individual would like to expand theprojects within this division of IPSF. It can be done while studying, but may not be done in the hardestyear of university.

    Baseline knowledge of IPSF Public Health Campaigns and current special projects is a definiteadvantage in carrying out this position. Other successful tips include an understanding of how to plan

    and implement Public Health related projects and also a passion and excitement for IPSF and PubicHealth in general.

    Chairperson of Student Exchange

    The Chairperson of Student Exchange is responsible for the smooth running of the Student ExchangeProgramme (SEP). This includes communicating with Student Exchange Officers (SEOs) andassisting them with their work, helping applicants and potential applicants, working together with theStudent Exchange Committee, overseeing the Student Exchange Database, acting as the SEO for

    Individual Members and resolving conflicts in problematic situations.

    Besides this, the Chairperson of Student Exchange can carry out projects together with the StudentExchange Committee, like the Big Sister Project and Helping Hand Project, as well as administrativework like revising the SEP documents and creating support materials for Student Exchange Officers.

    As the Chairperson of Student Exchange maintains regular contact with many students from variouscountries, they can also help the Chairperson of Public Relations in recruiting new members for the

    Federation and as they have regular contact with SEOs who are representatives of memberassociations.

    The Chairperson of Student Exchange also works together with the Treasurer in sorting out StudentExchange fees of Member associations and SEP grants, together with the Development FundCommittee.This position requires about 30 hours of work per week. It can be done while studying, but maybe notin the hardest year of the university. It is recommended that the Chairperson of Student Exchange hasprevious experience working in the Student Exchange Committee.

    You should promote IPSF and your Regional Office through all means; monitor progress on projectsand activities; and actively investigate and follow up on opportunities for strategic development.

    This position is best suited to someone who is able to take a year off work or study or perhapsundertake part-time commitments only so that you are able to commit at least 15-20 hours a week tothe position.

    The Chairperson should be able in a financial position where they are able to attend regional events,Executive Committee meetings, member association and pharmacy related events. As Chairperson ofa Regional Office, it is a wonderful opportunity to become deeper involved with IPSF, to be inspired aswell as to inspire others are you ready to take the challenge?

    Permanent Officer

    An essential role for all elected Executive Committee members to consider is the opportunity to beappointed Permanent Officer (PO) and move to The Hague, Portugal to work full-time at the IPSFHeadquarters.

    This position provides a backbone to IPSF an d allows IPSF to operate efficiently on a daily basis.This can be done on a rotational basis between Executive Committee members throughout the year,for example 2 to 3 months per person, or as negotiated amongst the team for suitable rotationaltiming.

    The tasks of the PO, apart from his/her own portfolio, is to take care of IPSF mailing andcorrespondence, support other Executive Committee members and other various office work at theIPSF Headquarters. IPSF offers free accommodation at the IPSF flat in The Hague and a smallremuneration of 90 Euros per week for living expenses.

    Coordinators and Committees work under the IPSF Executive Committee and their work is morespecific to certain activities. These positions require little travelling, but it is strongly recommended toattend the 60 th IPSF World Congress 2015 in Porto, Portugal and that you attend your Committeemeeting if one is programmed.

    You should be able to work on a daily basis throughout the year in your position and have regularinternet access. Coordinator positions have different busy times or seasons, but you must bereachable throughout your entire term.

    2. Treasurer portfolioDevelopment Fund (DF) CoordinatorWith the supervision of the Treasurer, the DF Coordinator coordinates the DF Committee and is

    responsible with the development of strategies for the promotion of donations and with ensuring theproper use of the DF. Therefore, it is essential to understand the aims and objectives of the DF.

    The DF Coordinator manages DF grant application forms, calls for applications, correspondence withapplicants as well as the review of applications.

    The DF Coordinator must have regular internet access available and be able to read and reply to e-mails daily over the periods when the DF applications are submitted and reviewed.     Development Fund Committee (3 members)The main task of the members is to review grant applications for DF congress grants, SEP grant andother DF grants. In addition, committee members will assist with promotion of donations.

    Furthermore, the Constitutional Working Committee helps the Secretary General to write and preparethe minutes of previous General Assembly.

    4. Internal Relations portfolio

    Membership Coordinator

    The Membership Coordinator works under the direction of the Chairperson of Internal Relations, and isa co-opted member of the Membership Promotion Committee (MPC). They work fairly independentlyto assist the Chairperson of Internal Relations in directing the work of the MPC.

    Their main responsibility is to manage the [email protected] email account (to be developedduring the 2014-15 mandate) and field general IPSF questions. A good working knowledge of IPSF isrequired for this position to determine where to field questions regarding regional offices, membershipforms, Student Exchange Programme, internships, and professional events. The workload of thisposition may vary from 2 - 20 hours per week, depending on the time of year. Heavier workloads arerequired during the winter months to field questions about World Congress, Symposia, and theStudent Exchange Programme.

    The Membership Coordinator will also work closely with the Treasurer to process IndividualMembership and Friend of the Federation applications; ideally, this person would be able to developonline forms and expedite the membership application process. They may also verify membership forattendance to events by providing Confirmation Letters required for registration. They will alsomaintain contact databases for Individual Members, Friends of the Federation, Honorary LifeMembers, and Alumni.

    Depending on workload, this position would ideally begin a working Alumni Network for the Federation,with ways to connect our Alumni to IPSF through the years after their departure.

    Membership Promotion Committee (MPC)

    The Membership Promotion Committee (MPC) consists of the appointed members, the RegionalRelations Officers and the Chairperson of Internal Relations.

    The main duties of this group would be to assist the Chairperson of Internal Relations in promoting

    IPSF to non-membership associations and to discuss together better ways of promoting or extendingIPSF membership to non-membership countries.

    It is also the responsibility of the MPC to contact pharmacy and pharmaceutical students, encourageand guide them in the creation student leadership structures where such do not exist.

    Members to this committee should preferably speak a second language other than English. Possibilityto travel to neighbouring countries to preform presentations about IPSF is also advisable.

    5. External Relations portfolioCorporate Relations CoordinatorThe Corporate Relations Coordinator works under the portfolio of the Chairperson of ExternalRelations. The Corporate Relations Coordinator shall assist the Chairperson of External Relations andPresident in obtaining appropriate corporate funding for the Federation. The specific duties shallinclude:

    - Serving as a co-chair of the Corporate Relations Committee, in conjunction with theChairperson of External Relations, to organize and be responsible for overall progress;

    - Ensuring the Corporate Relations Committee members have adequate knowledge to servethe Federation, understand its policies, and are familiar with its activities and offerings;

    - Maintaining a list of all contacts and relations between the Federation and business setting;- Ensuring all agreements between IPSF and partners are being met, in conjunction with the

    necessary Executive Board members (e.g., Chairperson of Media and Publications, President)- Build tailor-made packages for partners with the assistance of the Corporate Relations

    Committee;- Maintain a record of offerings made to partners, keeping in mind limited offerings may be

    The CSE Coordinator is required to have good communication skills, organization skills, and mostimportantly, clinical knowledge. It is imperative for the CSE Coordinator to be familiar with ObjectiveStructured Clinical Examination (OSCE) framework, from which the 3 different sets of CSE events:CSE individual competition (beginners and advance), CSE team competition, and CSE Jeopardy, arebased on.

    The CSE Coordinator must attend World Congress, as all of the above CSE competitions will be held,it is also advisable for the CSE Coordinator to be present for Regional Symposia where possible asCSE individual events are organized. The CSE Coordinator is responsible to be in contact with therespective reception committees starting at the beginning of the term to setup workshop time, roomsand logistics, invitation for suitable speakers for the workshop, arrange for winners certificates, andprizes. During the IPSF CSE competitions, the CSE Coordinator is responsible for all logistical matterwhether the CSE Coordinator is physically present or not. The CSE Coordinator will also beresponsible together with the Professional Development Committee, the Chairperson of ProfessionalDevelopment to create cases of CSE and to submit them for professional review.

    This Committee are for those who are interested in the project of Professional DevelopmentProjects.     7. Public Health portfolioThe Public Health Coordinators work under the direction of the Chairperson of Public Health topromote their determined area of Public Health and encourage and support IPSF members around theworld to undertake successful Public Health campaigns.

    Public Health Advocacy Coordinator

    The Public Health Advocacy Coordinator works under the direction of the Chairperson of PublicHealth, and serves as the third focal point to the World Health Organisation, after the Chairperson ofPublic Health and the President. They are a co-opted member of the Policy Committee, and workclosely with the Policy Coordinator to facilitate IPSF policy statement development related to publichealth. As such, they hold many of the responsibilities of the Policy Committee.

    The majority of work will include research to provide background statements and wording to anyproposed public health policy statements provided by IPSF members, Regional Offices, or theExecutive. These will be presented to the General Assembly for approval and adoption by IPSF. Also,these policy statements will be the foundation for any joint statements with partners at the WorldHealth Organisation and other applicable entities.

    They will also provide information and updates from the World Health Organization in regards to PublicHealth and Policy as it affects the Federation. Updates will be provided to the Chairperson of PublicHealth and the IPSF President on a monthly basis.

    It is highly recommended the Public Health Advocacy Coordinator attend the World Health Assembly(WHA) in Geneva, Switzerland every May in order to assist the Chairperson of Public Health withorganization of the IPSF delegation and/or Pre-WHA events, joint statements with partners such asthe World Healthcare Students' Alliance, and submission of interventions for presentation.

    A growing number of publications related to pharmaceutical science, practice and education areimplemented as IPSF publications.

    Phuture , is IPSF scientific publication which is compiled by IPSF Pharmacy Education Committee andpublished annually around the time of IPSF World Congress. Each year a certain topic related topharmacy education or pharmaceutical science is determined as the theme for the publication.

    Pharmacy Education Newsletter (PEN ) is the newsletter of pharmacy education and is compiled bythe IPSF Pharmacy Education Committee. The newsletter is meant to give space for students toexpress themselves and give their opinions about the latest scientific findings and development relatedto pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical science. The purpose is to increase the scientific writingskills, encourage students to debate about pharmacy and health related issues. The updates of theresearch projects can be published in the newsletter as well as the IPSF internship reports and articlesfrom relevant IPSF alumni.

    The ESP Coordinator works under the portfolio of Chairperson of Pharmacy EducationThe ESP Coordinator is responsible for all processes leading to the publications of Phuture and PEN.This is including but not limited to:- Determining the theme and content structure for each publication- Compiling the contents for both publications- Identifying authors and requesting them for articles on topics of interest- Editing and screening of the articles received for publication- Liaising with the Chairperson of Media and Publications and designated members of theEditorial Committee and Design and Creativity Committee for all technical processes leading to thepublications.

    9. Media and Publications portfolioEditorial Committee (EC) Coordinator

    All communication with the Editorial Committee is managed by the Editorial Committee CoordinatorECC), who acts as a contact person between the Chairperson of Media and Publications and thecommittee, as well as a moderator of the EC. Among other responsibilities, the ECC receives thetasks from the Chairperson of Media and Publications and delegates them to the EC, communicatingthe result to the Chairperson within a given deadline.

    The time commitment for this position can become quite intense at some times, but its generally quitelight. Before publications and the World Congress there is always an augmented workload. It is quitepossible to manage it with university or work.

    Design Coordinator (DC)The Design Coordinator is the chair of the DCC and is in charge of task delegation, working as acontact person between the Chairperson of Media and Publications and the DCC.The DC is the implementer of the communication and branding strategies of the Chairperson. For

    instance, he can be responsible with inserting the publication articles in the templates provided by theChairperson or design materials based on the branding created by the Chairperson.

    Applicants should have extensive experience in using common graphic design tools such as AdobePhotoshop, Adobe Illustrator and most importantly Adobe InDesign. IPSF does not have licensesto any design software.Since this is a new position, it is hard to calculate the workload. Although, you should consider this tobe a quite heavy workload position, since you will be working very closely with the Chairperson ofMedia and Publications. It can be managed with your studies, but probably not if youre counting onhaving a busy academic year (research project, thesis or other).

    The DCC is chaired by the Design Coordinator (new position) and is responsible with completingdesign and media tasks. Although this is a Committee, work is usually carried out in individual tasksbased on the members a ptitudes and skills in different kinds of media. For instance, people with videoediting skills are chosen to edit videos (that can be requested from any portfolio of the Federation) andpeople who are better at web design will be chosen to help with website management.

    Applicants should have extensive experience in using common graphic design tools such as AdobePhotoshop, Adobe Illustrator and most importantly Adobe InDesign and/or video editing tools.IPSF does not have licenses to any design software.

    The Regional Media and Publications Officers are also members of the DCC and are supposed to helpwith regional projects as well as others in case they are so requested.

    Marketing Coordinator (MaC)

    The IPSF Marketing Coordinator is in charge with defining digital marketing strategies to promote IPSFactivities to pharmacy students and to market IPSF to new members, external partners and sponsors.

    In practical terms, this will means managing all the Social Media accounts, as well as analysing thestatistics and being informed in the latest trends in digital marketing. The MaC is responsible forproviding brief reports on monthly basis about the performance of IPSF social networks. The MaC isresponsible with implementing the IPSF branding strategy created by the Chairperson of Media andPublications in the marketing channels.

    The MaC is also responsible with making sure the Regional Offices maintain their Social Media

    channels updated and in order with regional strategies to which the MC should contribute.

    In general, the MaC works quite closely with the Chairperson of Media and Publications throughout theyear, helping with all necessary tasks related to the portfolio, including social media campaigns forPublic Health, Pharmacy Education, Pharmacy Awareness, Student Exchange, or even Internal andExternal Relations. The IPSF events are also excellent opportunities for digital marketing, so the MaCshould coordinate activities related to these events.

    The MaC should help the Chairperson of Media and Publications in regulating the use of Social Mediawithin the Federation, for instance by regulating the Facebook Groups or by helping the ExecutiveCommittee members make a better use of these tools when attending events or advocating for a

    cause.

    The IPSF Marketing Coordinator should be creative, motivated and proactive person with highcommunication skills and solid understanding of all IPSF aspects and activities. It is preferred to havea passion about marketing and technology, with previous experience in managing Social Networksand good knowledge of Social Media management tools. It is advantageous to have past experiencewith sponsorship roles.

    The time commitment for this position can become quite intense at some times (usually about 1 hourevery day but it can be heavier during campaigns). It is quite possible to manage it with University orwork.

    Blog Coordinator (BC)

    The Blog Coordinator is in charge with managing and promoting the IPSF Blog, making sure newcreative content is created. The BC can hold writing contests (in collaboration with the EditorialCommittee) or other types of campaigns to promote writing creativity.The IPSF Blog works with WordPress, which is a quite easy platform to work with, so no experience isrequired (although general aptitude for digital platforms is advisable).

    This is quite a simple position that does not require a lot of time commitment, but it needs periodicalreminders to authors and a good organizational capacity.

    Merchandise Coordinator (MeC)The Merchandise Coordinator is a newly created position. This person will be in charge with creatingand managing the IPSF Online Store. The website will be quite easy to create since it will use a pre-existing online tool only basic web managing skills required.

    The Merchandise Coordinator will be in charge with updating the database with all the merchandisematerials, mark their prices, check shipping prices to different areas of the world and finally ship (incase the coordinator is in Portugal) or coordinate shipment of the orders.

    The Merchandise Coordinator also has the responsibility of ordering new materials, in coordinationwith the Chairperson of Media and Publications and the IPSF Treasurer. The design of such materialsmust follow the IPSF branding strategy and are at the responsibility of the Design Coordinator andsubject to approval by the Chairperson of Media and Publications.

    Since this position requires working with shipments from Portugal (at least at an early stage ofdevelopment), it is advisable for the Merchandise Coordinator to be someone who lives in Portugal.

    This position might require some time commitment in setting up the store, and depending on theamount of orders it might be more or less time consuming. Still, even with a lot of popularity, about 3weekly hours should be enough to fulfil the overall duties (except close to the events, when it will benecessary to make more orders).

    10. Student Exchange portfolio

    Student Exchange Committee (SEC)

    The Student Exchange Committee (SEC) consists of ten members. SEC members have to be formerStudent Exchange Officers (SEOs). The main duty of this Committee is to provide guidance andensure the smooth and fair running of the IPSF Student Exchange Programme (SEP).

    As a SEC member you are required to be in constant communication with the Chairperson of StudentExchange and assist them with work in the following areas:

    Help IPSF member organisations, especially new organisations, in establishing or improving theirexchange programmes in a scheme known as the Big Sister Project.Work on improving the SEP Domestic Rules and Training Manual for Student Exchange Officers.Create promotional and support materials for Student Exchange Officers.Oversee the Student Exchange Database and aid in resolving disciplinary issues arising in theprogramme.Decide together with the Chairperson of Student Exchange, Treasurer, DF Coordinator and DFCommittee the DF SEP Grant recipients.Promote and investigate the implementation of SEP in IPSF Member associations who are not part ofthe project yet, as well as in all non-IPSF Member countries, as part of the Helping Hand Project.

    The Chairperson of Student Exchange and SEC members gather for a meeting once a year, whereimportant issues pertaining to SEP are discussed. It is usually held after the second IPSF Executivemeeting (usually March-April) but when and where it is held is up to the Chairperson and SECmembers of the particular work year.

    SEC members are required to be contactable regularly via email and need to be able to respond

    promptly to messages. Hence good and regular email access is required. A time commitment of about15 hours per week can be expected.
