PRINCIPAL’S AWARD We have added a new award to the school this year. The Principal’s

award recognises the important role our students play in making our

school such a great place to learn and play. The award will be presented

each week at our Friday morning assembly and will link to out school

values of Respect, Care and Personal Best. We will also include the

recipients in the newsletter and Facebook on a regular basis.

Congratulations to our first to award winners:

Curtis - for the amazing way he greets everyone with a smile

Ruby - care for our school and her peers. DROP OFF ZONE AND CAR PARK An important reminder to please keep the space made available for

morning ‘Drop Off’ free from parked cars .This space is should always be

available for children to walk into school safely each day. It is essential

to remind those travelling in cars around the school zone to slow down,

be vigilant at all times. We also remind families that if you are crossing

the road on Staley street, not only is there a staff member readily

available, it is also the most visible space to safely cross.

CSEF (Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund) Applications are open for families who are Health Care Card holders to apply for this funding - forms are available from the school office. When completing your application please bring a long your current Health Care Card, this is needed for the application to be accepted. If you are a Health Care Card holder please do not miss out on this funding.

CURRICULUM DAY—Wednesday March 18th Please note that our first Curriculum Day for the year will occur

on Wednesday 18th March. The focus Cultural Understanding and

Safety Training. The training involved deepening teachers’ under-

standing of indigenous culture and what schools can do to provide

a culturally safe learning environment for our students.

“Buskers in the Borough 2020”

Saturday 21st March at the

Dahlia & Arts Festival.

We are seeking Buskers to perform on the sidewalks of

Eaglehawk between 10am & 11am.

Primary & Secondary students only.
