Gordon J. Fulks, PhD.Gordon J. Fulks, Ph.D. is an astrophysicist known locally for his many Op-Eds in The Oregonian on Global Warming. One of them: “Kitzhaber is al-lowing Climate Malpractice” was printed only a few weeks before Governor Kitzhaber resigned in disgrace. The very first of them in 2008, “Global Warming: Climate Orthodoxy Perpetuates a Hoax,” criticized former Governor Kulongoski for forcing State Climatologist George Taylor out of his position at Oregon State University because Taylor expressed doubts about Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming (CAGW).Dr. Fulks’s background is similar to that of scientists pro-moting CAGW with notable exceptions: he has never accepted ANY money to promote or oppose any theory because that is unethical, and he is considerably more experienced than most who have.

Gordon received a BS in Physics in 1967 and went on to get an MS and PhD in Physics, all from the Univer-sity of Chicago. He worked initially for the Laboratory for Astrophysics and Space Research at the Enrico Fermi Institute of the University of Chicago studying the solar modulation of galactic cosmic rays, using a large charged-particle spectrometer flown in the Arctic. One crucial ques-

Clark County Republican Women Host Gordon J. Fulks, PhD. in Julytion at the time was the size of the heliosphere filled by the solar wind blowing from the surface of the sun. The prevailing view was that it was relatively small. In a pa-per published in 1975, Dr. Fulks argued that it had to be huge, stretching beyond our solar sys-tem. Twenty years later, two NASA spacecraft finally reached inter-stellar space, 8 billion miles from the sun and far beyond Pluto.

Dr. Fulks later worked for a think-tank in Santa Barbara, California, supporting the US Defense Nu-clear Agency on nuclear weapon effects. When that agency faded away at the end of the Cold War, he supported the Department of

State designing new embassies and working at the US Embassy in Moscow. More recently, he has consulted for business and government clients seeking to better un-derstand electromagnetic phenomena, related scientific scares, and the concept of ‘acceptable risk.’

Dr. Fulks is an avid mountaineer, caver, orchid collec-tor, and tree farmer. He has climbed most major peaks in the Cascades and High Sierras and several major world peaks. He has also explored many caves, including the deepest cave pits in the world, located in central Mexico. He has an extensive orchid collection and grows many trees including 360 Giant Sequoias (which are the largest of all living things and were once native to the Pacific North-west). His property east of the Sandy River near Corbett is maintained for wildlife including Pileated Woodpeckers, the largest surviving North American woodpecker.

Roll up your sleeves and get involved in Republican campaigns! Let’s get busy to elect our candidates!Signs are up. Candidates are busy shaking hands at pa-rades and raising money to get their message out to vot-ers. The campaign trail can be a very lonely place. But, with your help, you can help elect our Republican candi-dates. Politics is not a spectator sport! Let’s go!

Consider joining a Republican campaign team. You can help address letters, walk in parades, host a fundraiser at your home or just help with sign-waving. Parades are happening every week in July. This is a great way to get involved! Show up with comfortable walking shoes and the candidate will put you to work along the parade route, passing out candy or just shaking hands with neighbors.

Elections are won on the ground, with the right message, grass roots volunteers, enthusiasm, money and momen-tum. Working on a campaign is very rewarding. Every can-didate loves volunteers! There’s no substitute for having citizens roll up their sleeves to work alongside candidates. Running for office is tough business. The following candi-dates need our help and encouragement to win.

With each new $35 membership renewal, CCRW remits $15 to the State Federation. This leaves very little operating cash to fund our organization. Please attend upcoming meetings where you’ll have the opportunity to donate or bid on silent auction items. Participate in our “Trump Bucks” fellowship.

All of these extras help us raise money so that we can give back in our community and also help elect Republicans at the same time. I’m thrilled that we have selected Pathways as our 2018 organization to support. See all the details on page 3. See you on July 19th at Club Green Meadows.

See Dinesh D’Souza’s Latest Work in Theaters Aug. 3Since the moment that President Trump was elected, the Left has refused to accept his legitimacy, instead engaging in a ferocious campaign to discredit him. From interrupt-ing the inauguration to outlandish Russia investigations, the Democratic Party is on a mission to destroy America's 45th President.

To understand this behavior, we have to start in 1860, a time when another unconventional man was elected to lead a divided America. Abraham Lincoln was sworn-in when his country was on the brink of changing forever. Lincoln—much like Trump today—faced an impossible task: how does one man begin to unite a nation torn apart?

Just like Lincoln's adversaries in 1860, progressives to-day sew division with an ideology informed by bigotry and corruption. In an attempt to cover up their own insidious fascism and racism, Democrats now loudly hurl claims of "fascist!" and "racist" at President Trump and the GOP.

Dinesh D'Souza's Death of a Nation offers a portrait of modern America: brought to the edge of disaster by a co-ordinated campaign of deception, violence, and subver-sion orchestrated by the Democratic Party. In this explo-sive new film, D'Souza uncovers the fascist roots of the American Left, exposes their cozy relationship with Na-zism, and shows once and for all that it is the Republican Party that has been fighting against slavery, genocide, racism, and fascism from the very beginning.

America is once again at a crossroads. Death of a Nation offers a powerful plan to preserve the same nation that Lincoln saved from a catastrophic fate. Can a new Lincoln in the form of President Trump save America again?
