603,670 gave their hearts to Jesus and filled out personal decision cards. Churches in the area will now be welcoming these new converts and supporting them as they begin their new lives in Christ.

Hearts were stirred and ignited in the 3-day Fire Confer-

ence, and each attendee received

a free copy of “Are we Flammable

or Fireproof”.

On the last day of the Fire Conference, Daniel and the team laid hands on many of the pastors and leaders, praying for them to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

When Daniel Kolenda called Quentin Harrup to the stage, this woman identified him as the one who led her to Christ in a mini-campaign. It was not only the first evangelistic message Quentin had preached, but her healing was the first he had ever seen in his own ministry. What a precious moment!

people streamed in from the

surrounding areas to hear

the Gospel.

Not even drenching rain and dusty winds could stop the people of Ogbomosho from flocking to the Great Gospel Campaign, such was their eagerness and hunger for the Good News.

From the very first meeting in Ogbomosho, the crowd was massive. From the platform, the crowds stretched as far as the eye could see. The platform was at the bottom of a sloping hill and, in times past, everyone on the other side of that hill would have been unable to see. It was the perfect opportunity to witness the incredible difference our giant screens make. Everybody could see and hear the preaching of the Gospel, no matter where they stood.

On the second night, the skies opened and cold, driving rain poured down. Then, on the Saturday, thick Harmattan (dust from the Sahara Desert) clogged the air. But the crowds of eager visitors were undeterred, dancing and singing in the rain. When Evangelist Daniel Kolenda preached the simple, pure Gospel and invited the people to decide for Jesus, tens of thousands answered the call, and the heavens were opened in the spiritual realm, too.

The outpouring of God’s blessing had begun even before the first meeting started. As part of our “Decade of Double Harvest” initiative, for about 10 days prior to the campaign, we sent a team of evangelists (Paul Maurer and Quentin Harrup) into the surrounding villages to conduct mini-campaigns. The results were exciting! Before the main event had even started, thousands had heard the Gospel, and many had been saved and healed.

There were many, many wonderful healings that confirmed the preaching of the Gospel each night. Amongst them was a woman, partially blind for 10 years, who testified that she could now see perfectly. A woman whose legs were paralyzed for 12 years was to-tally healed, and could literally leap into the air as she demonstrated with great joy on the stage. Another woman, whose body was bent over sideways at the waist, suddenly straightened up perfectly.

On the Saturday night, there was “a sound like a mighty, rushing wind”, but it wasn’t the Harmattan. It was the roar of hallelujah’s resounding over the field, as tens of thousands received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. As Daniel Kolenda closed the final meeting with prayers for Nigeria, it was clear that God had indeed poured out His grace on Ogbomosho.

This is a prototype that we envision will soon involve dozens of similar trucks and hundreds (maybe thousands) of evangelists helping us to reap the harvest in season and out.

She explained that she was a Muslim who had years earlier been demon possessed. She also had sharp pains on her side. The night before the campaign (in one of the mini-campaigns in the village) Quentin Harrup, one of the young evangelists here in training with Evangelist Paul Maurer, preached and this woman received Christ and was healed. As Daniel Kolenda prayed, she was delivered from those demons and publicly testified on the platform that she was both delivered and converted and is now a Christian.

Calabar meets JesusCfaN was last in the harbor town of Calabar in 2004. Since then, a whole new generation has been born, open and hungry for the Gospel. Our first meeting was already huge! But it didn’t stop there. The following night, the crowd doubled in size. The next night, it doubled again. And the last night, it nearly doubled again! This is quite unusual, and was a clear indication of the incredible move of God that was happening.

For three days, Daniel Kolenda and Peter Vandenberg ministered to pastors and leaders during the Fire Conference, held in the mornings. It was a glorious time of renewal and inspiration. At the close of the conference, Daniel laid hands on many of the pastors, praying for them to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and equipped for the calling of God.

Each evening, after the call to salvation, Daniel prayed for the sick, and thousands lifted their hands to show that they had experienced the touch of God. This is the supernatural confirmation of the Gospel in action! In a deeply touching moment, a 12-year-old boy who had been mute since birth said his very first words. In front of the massive crowd, he said to Daniel, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,” his face alight with joy. For others, like the woman who said she was pain-free for the first time in 3 years, her stomach ulcer healed, the only possible response was uncontrollable weeping, tears of gratitude and joy.

How privileged we are to be part of this great harvest, building the Kingdom of God together!

Vandenberg had the great privilege of being invited to an audience with the regional king. They were able to

share the Word of God and spent

time in prayer together. It was a tremendously

moving, God-given opportunity.

She had suffered terrible pain from a stomach ulcer for 3 years. Jesus healed her, and she wept tears of thanksgiving as she gave her testimony.

This woman testified that a painful lump in her breast had completely disappeared when she lifted her hand for healing.

418,840 people in Calabar filled out personal decision cards when they accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior.

The average age in Calabar is only 16. We were there to preach to a whole new generation of young people, eager to hear about Jesus.
