writing based on outcomes of ENG 111 using a collaboratively developed rubric. Discussed ratings
with other readers. Contributed to assessment report with recommendations for improved
teaching of ENG 111 to better facilitate meeting outcomes.
First-Year Composition Placement Program Portfolio Reader

Read writing portfolios of incoming Miami students. Assessed writing based on the outcomes of
ENG 111 and ENG 112 (as determined by the Composition Program). Determined number of credits
individual portfolios would receive toward Miamis composition course requirement. Negotiated
with other readers when assessments were not aligned. Contributed to assessment report with
recommendations for the Placement Portfolio Program and Department of English.
Honors Program Portfolio Reviewer

Read Honors program students portfolios for the critical and integrative thinking competency area.
Assessed student progress using a developmental rubric designed by the Honors program.
Communicated feedback and suggestions to students about their portfolios to help them illustrate
