[MeLamp]

MeLamps are lamps whose structure can take various shapes also thanks

to the malleability of the metal material with which they are made.

Aurora, the new lamp designed by Nucleo_Piergiorgio Robino + Edoardo

Trave and made by Caino Design, is part of this product family.

Aurora is the �rst object belonging to the MARCA collection, a project

conceived in 2013 curated by Barbara Brondi e Marco Rainò and suppor-

ted by Camera di commercio di Torino in collaboration with Centro

Estero per l’Internazionalizzazione del Piemonte. It’s a lighting system

obtained with thin metal sheets. It can be used as suspension.

Aurora’s lightness and variety of models reveal a versatile object, a special

shape of light suitable for residential, artistic spaces and exhibition areas.

Lamp sizes: from 25 to 58 cm diameter.

Materials: stainless steel and brass.

anche grazie alla malleabilità del metallo di cui sono fatte.

Fa parte di questa famiglia di prodotti la nuova lampada Aurora, disegna-

ta da Nucleo_Piergiorgio Robino + Edoardo Trave e prodotta da Caino

Design.

Aurora è il primo oggetto realizzato nel 2013 per la collezione MARCA,

progetto curato da Barbara Brondi e Marco Rainò con il sostegno di

Camera di Commercio di Torino e in collaborazione con il Centro Estero

per l’Internazionalizzazione del Piemonte. Si tratta di un sistema illumi-

nante ottenuto con sottili lastre di metallo incise utilizzabili come sospen-

sioni.

La leggerezza e la varietà dei modelli di Aurora rivelano un oggetto dalle

mille facce il cui risultato è una forma di luce particolare, adatta per

abitazioni e luoghi pubblici, spazi artistici ed espositivi.

Dimensioni lampada: diametro da 25 a 58 cm.

Materiale: acciaio e ottone.

MeLamp

La modellazione di Aurora può essere e�ettuata dal consumatore stesso (MeLamp Aurora Disk/versione piatta) o da Caino Design (MeLamp Aurora Ready modeled-lighting system/versione pronta).

The ‘�at version’ of Aurora consists in a metal disk to be modeled by hand. A kit for suspension is also available to be assembled by the consumer. This solution is de�nitely characterized by a high possibility of interpreta-tion by the user. A wide range of combinations and of shapes is possible, even with more than one disk, so that each object reveals a particular “uniqueness”.To shape the lampshade place the metal disk on a �at surface and,while holding the outer part of the disk, pull from the center,steadily deforming the sheet. Pull gradually while turning the diskuntil you obtain the desired shape.CAUTION: Once the plate has been deformed it does not return toits initial state. We therefore recommend you proceed with cautionto avoid undesired deformations.

La 'versione piatta' di Aurora consiste in un disco di metallo da modellare a mano. E’ inoltre disponibile un kit per sospensione da assemblare da parte del consumatore. Questa soluzione è caratterizzata da un’elevata possibilità di interpretazione da parte dell'utente. E’ possibile ottenere una vasta gamma di combinazioni e di forme, anche utilizzando più di un disco, in modo che ogni oggetto riveli una particolare "unicità".Per modellare il paralume appoggiare il disco su un piano e,tenendo ferma la parte esterna del disco, tirare dal foro centraledeformando gradualmente la lamiera. E�ettuare le trazioni un pocoalla volta facendo ruotare il disco �no ad ottenere la forma voluta.ATTENZIONE: una volta deformata la lamiera non ritorna al suostato iniziale. È quindi consigliabile procedere gradualmente perevitare deformazioni non volute.La lampada deve essere installata da personale quali�cato.

The ‘ready version’ of Aurora is for people who want to buy the lampalready “in shape”. A variety of models are available. These lamps may be slightly di�erent from the published images. Their “uniqueness” is due to the fact that every lampshade is shaped by hand.

La 'versione pronta' di Aurora è adatta per coloro che vogliono acquistarela lampada già "in forma". Sono disponibili diversi modelli.Queste lampade possono essere leggermente diverse dalle immagini pubblicate. La loro “unicità” è dovuta alla modellazione manuale.

The modeling of Aurora may be done by the consumer himself (MeLamp Aurora Disk/�at version) or by Caino Design (MeLamp Aurora Ready modeled-lighting system/ready version).
