Program made possible by a grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) and a partnership with the Nebraska Community Energy Alliance (NCEA).

The Nebraska Environmental Trust was established in 1992 to conserve, enhance and restore the natural environments of Nebraska. The Trust is to lead the development of a vision of Nebraska’s future environment. The Trust is to collaborate with public and private efforts to achieve that vision.

The mission of the Nebraska Community Energy Alliance is to build and promote advanced technolo-gies for housing and transportation that save energy, reduce CO2 pollution and cut costs.

The upfront cost of electric vehicles (EVs) is considered the main obstacle to potential consumers. As an incentive, Nebraska Public Power District, in partnership with its wholesale utility customers, and the Nebraska Environmental Trust (NET) have introduced three programs that help to reduce the purchase price of an EV.

Follow these easy stepsVisit with your electrical utility to discuss your EV and charging needs and pick up an application form, and ensure incentives are still available.

All three programs will require a reservation request prior to purchase and/or installation.

Reservations have a limited time to purchase and/or install, which if not met will expire.

Once approved, there will be a time period to provide proof of purchase or installation.

Submit payment request after purchase and installation.

Charger installation location and vehicle registration must be the same location and be a single or multi-family residential location and have internet wireless connectivity to qualify.

Incentives are limited so check with your local public power utility for availability.

Electric Vehicle and ChargePoint charger incentive: $4,500$4,000 incentive for the purchase or lease of a new battery electric vehicle.

$500 incentive for the installation of a residential vehicle charging station.
