Fynnius Fogg Rock Northampton

Supporters from across Northampton danced the night away to the sounds of Fynnius Fogg at St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School.

They raised £1000, enough to provide a community rice bank!

St Mary’s Parish, DunstableThree churches in Dunstable, inspired by the parish UCM Group, celebrated the 50th anniversary of Fast Day.

They raised £500, enough to buy a fruit tree nursery and other gifts, such as emergency kits and training for a farmer.

St Peter & St John Fisher Parish, Withernsea

Parishioners of St John Fisher, Withernsea raised

£750 for a community water supply

by holding a whole series of events led by the Children’s Liturgy Group. Each month, they raised money by selling cakes, bacon and sausage butties!

Ss Peter & Paul RC primary school, Leyburn

Students of St Peter and St Paul RC primary school in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, raised enough to buy a community water supply (£750) in only 12 months.

The school only has 30 students!

Blessed Sacrament, Chelmsford

The Justice & Peace group raised £755 by holding Lenten lunches at different members houses.

St Mary’s Primary School, Walthamstow

Pupils have been fundraising to buy Mother & Baby care packs.

Washing staff cars; sponsored silences; pyjama days, and making a Christmas CD and Christmas cards were just a few of the events organised.

A fantastic £1320 has been raised – enough to buy 44 Mother and Baby care packs.

Petersville – an African virtual village

St Peter’s parish in Stockport created their own virtual village and named it Petersville. They raised over £2000 in 5 weeks!

Now each of the 10 houses in Petersville has its own vegetable garden and school starter pack. The village also has its own community health worker, water supply, fruit orchard and many other things to help their community thrive.

Immaculate Conception parish, Clevedon

Immaculate Conception parish have held several events to raise funds for their World Gifts, including this Poems and Pints evening, a book stall on the sea front, a Children’s Cake stall, and frugal lunches.

Sacred Heart and St William parish, Saddleworth

Sacred Heart & St William parish in Uppermill, Saddleworth, raised £365 through their One Christmas Card For All display.

Instead of sending each other individual cards, parishioners signed just one card, and used the money saved to buy World Gifts as a parish! What a great idea!

4th Dronfield St Paul’s Beavers Group

This Group set out to raise £30. The eleven Beavers comprehensively smashed their target to raise a fantastic £337! Thanks to their brilliant fundraising efforts and the support of family and friends, they have bought 5 gifts of clean

water, 11 gifts of adult literacy and 11 school starter packs. Well done!
