the road ahead. If a pedestrian is detected, the

system alerts the driver and, if necessary, applies

the brakes to help avoid or reduce the severity of

a potential collision.

TRULY FORWARD THINKINGForward Collision Alert monitors traffic

ahead, alerting you if a potential collision with a

detected vehicle is imminent, while the Distance

Indicator shows the following time to the vehicle

ahead (in seconds) in the Driver Information

Center (DIC).

BE ALERTED EVEN IN REVERSEWhen backing out of a parking space, Rear Cross

Traffic Alert, standard on Premium Luxury and

Sport trims, can warn you of oncoming cross

traffic to either side of your vehicle.

TRAVEL THE STRAIGHT AND SMARTUsing monitors to sense lane boundaries, the

Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning

can gently turn the steering wheel if the system

anticipates the vehicle is leaving the lane

unintentionally or without using your turn signal.

The system works in conjunction with the Safety

Alert Seat, showing a visual alert in the cluster

and sending a warning pulse through the seat

cushion when your vehicle crosses the detected

lane marking.

AN ATTENTION-GRABBERLane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert,

standard on Premium Luxury and Sport trims,

surveys the area well beyond the side blind zone,

illuminating the side-mirror warning icon to alert

you of a rapidly approaching vehicle and monitors

your blind zones, so if a moving vehicle is in the

adjacent lane, it also illuminates the side-mirror

icon. In both cases, if you’ve activated your turn

signal toward the detected vehicle, the icon on

the side mirror will flash to alert you.

GAIN PRECIOUS TIMEUp to certain speeds, Automatic Emergency

Braking can sense imminent forward collisions

and automatically engage the brakes if you have

not already done so, helping to reduce the severity

of the collision. The system may even help avoid

a collision at very low speeds. Reverse Automatic
