The use of fi ber opti cs has proven to improve communicati on between systems and auxiliary panels by eliminati ng the risk caused by electro-magneti c interference. Fiber opti c communicati on lines are durable and provide bett er communicati on than conventi onal electrical communicati on lines.

The system pictured is designed for land rig installati ons and is manufactured to withstand the rigors associated with constant relocati on to various well sites.

The remote panel communicates with the Interface control panel and can operate and monitor just about everything on the HPU main skid. The digital meters indicate pressure for the header manifold, annular, accumulators, and rig air pressure. Illuminated push butt ons indicate the positi ons of the BOP stack.

The touchscreen remote operates with all of the functi onality of the push butt on remote, but requires only 50% of the space.
