“ACTHA” is structured so there is no limit to how their cause is supported

• Whether this is accomplished via fund raising, contributions, or

• Saddle Clubs making money to remain viable, or an individual profiting from a ride so they can feed their horse,

• it all benefits our wonderful horses. • Thereby supporting “the Cause” that is

our driving force!4

In a Nutshell• ACTHA is an association/ Company. It is set up

to generate revenue from entry fees at ACTHA run events as well as memberships.

• From that revenue ACTHA supports their cause “Full Equine Employment to help ease the suffering of horses in need.” Via charitable donations.

• “in order to give to charitable organizations and support our cause ,there first has to be something to give” 5

ACTHA is the structure that administers supports CTC and AOC events through the

use of Ride Hosts, Sponsors, VolunteersRiders enter events

• 6-8 mile (9.6-12.8 km) • Trail Ride• 6 judged obstacles• (mostly natural)time varies • Ride out in small groups• Single horse permitted

Actha Obstacle Challenge

• Held in an arena or field; 8 to 16 Obstacles depending on the format

• Obstacles are a set 60 s time limit

• Multiple horses permitted

• This is where it all started. Thanks to Reuban and Tricia who hosted the first successful ride.

Riding for Charity

• The whole aspect of holding a CTC or an AOC for the purpose of raising funds for a Charitable Organization is a herculean task that incorporates a multitude of volunteers,

• sponsors , members, landowners and coordinators.17

Moving Forward in 2014• CACTHA a NFP corp. is

in its infancy still.• It is the sister to ACTHA• CACTHA members are

ACTHA members.• ACTHA maintains the

membership administration and the horse/rider registry

• CACTHA has full use of the current ACTHA database

• CACTHA follows the ACTHA rules and processes for running CTC/AOC

• CACTHA riders are eligible for the World Series Championship awards.
