In certain hard conditions lifetime of products and consequently lifetime of protection coating has to be lon-ger than standard products such as electrolytically galvanised steel (EZ) or Hot Dip Galvanized steel (HDG) for a same thickness of coating.

High Protection : : what for ?
Directly coming from the Galfan® process our HP (High Protection) coating consists in a combi-nation of 2 components: Zinc (95%) and Aluminium (5%). This gives to our products active and passive protection against corrosion.

Zinc behaves as a sacrificial anode: it corrodes in preference to steel generating zinc oxide. This Zinc oxide protects steel (active protection).
With Aluminium oxidizes it generates a grey graphite colored protective layer in surface of the product. This layer is very resistant and protects the product against corrosion (passive protection) slowing down the Zinc anodic reaction.
As a consequence, product lifetime is increased.

A totally smooth surfaceHP coating darkens in time taking the aluminium oxide color. This aluminium oxide layer acts as a protective shield between steel and atmosphere.Giving:
• Reduced friction when forming the wire;• Reduced risk of damaging cables;• More aesthetic for a perfect and easy integration in the environment.

A 4 time stronger coating than the HDG (Hot Dip Galvanized)

• With a 4 times longer lifetime than a HDG (Hot Dip Galvanized) at equivalent thickness of coating it’s replacement is less frequent thus saving environment with less pollution due to manufacturing, transport and recycling;
• Less process are necessary to produce the coating (no additional treatment for uncovered parts) rejecting less CO2;
• HP Chemical component (such as Zinc, Aluminium and Steel) are totally recyclable;
• Men’s health is reinforced during production as HP coating requires less dangerous substances.
