F76 Straight (3m)

F76 cable ladder is manufactured in structural steel S355, stainless steel 314 and 316. Designed and and tested for horizontally mounted application in mining, light industrialand commercial, such as shopping centres andoffice buildings.

The structural steel cable ladder is made with structural steel S355. The stainless steel cable ladder is made with stainless steel 304. and 316. They are all light weight and ideal for shopping centres and building applications where the cables need to be supported on a horizontally mounted cable ladder and the supports are at 1.5, 2.0 or 3.0m. The ladder is designed and tested for horizontally mounted applications according to NEMA. The working load capacity for 1.5, 2.0 or 3.0m is shown in the safe working load diagram. The safety factor is 1.5. NEMA test load deflection is 20mm for 112kg/m safe working load. For the site installation the span will be continuous and the deflection is 10mm (end span 15mm). The F76 cable ladder meets the requirements of NEMA VE01 Class 10 B (112kg/m)(75lb/ft), support at 3.0m. (table 2 NEMA VE1-2009). All accessories require support near each end and at the centre. It is recommended that the F76 be installed in accordance with NEMA VE2- available from www.nema.org. The ladder is tested and certified according to the NEMA standard, by an independent PR engineer.

Channels and spring nuts

Channel and combinationsChannels and combinations are cold formed to size from low carbon strip steel (minimum yield strength of 250 Mpa) on a rolling mill. The channel is manufactured with a continuous opening with the two edges turned inwards. Rigid mechanical fixing may be achieved by engaging the in turned edges of the channel with the serrated grooves in the spring nuts.

Spring nutsSpring nuts are produced from steel bar and, after manufacture, zinc plated nuts can be case hardened to order. Hardened spring nuts should be used with grade 8.8 zinc plated hex set screw. Generally, the South African market uses only unhardened spring nuts together with grade 4.8 zinc plated hex set screw. Spring nuts are rectangular in shape with the ends shaped as to allow a quarter turn clockwise and to prevent further turning in the channel. Twotoothed grooves in the top of the nut engage the return lips of the channel, in a vice-grip like manner. Allowable pull out strength and resistance to slip loads for torques shown.

Holding powerWith 50 years of innovation and testing behind us, we are recognised as the world’s leading supplier of safety critical electrical cable cleats. Every day, vital operations and services such as the channel tunnel rail link, nuclearpower plants and oil rigs rely on our products to keep them running safely. Holding power is our guarantee that Ellis cable cleats will contain short-circuitforces - protecting your people, power and plant, without fail.

Tested to perfectionSince the birth of the business, we’ve been working with independent test houses to raise safety standards within the industry. We understand the science behind the appropriate standards, but we know that results from short-circuit testing are what really counts. Testing is the only way to prove that a cleat will do its job. We undertake regular testing in accordance withthe international standard IEC61914, and the results show that our productsexceed industry requirements. This uncompromising quality and our ‘safety first’culture, guarantee your protection. We’re more than happy to make available reports and video footage from our tests.

Lindapter

BackgroundFor more than 75 years, Lindapter has earned a respected reputation as the inventor and pioneer of steelwork clamping systems, providing an independently approved and exclusive product range of steelwork, cavity, decking, support and steel floor fixings.

Lindapter’s unique connections create significant advantages in comparison to traditional methods such as welding or drilling, including the reduction of installation time and labour costs, on-site adjustability and no damage to steel sections or protective coatings.

The company’s proud heritage began in 1934 when engineer Henry Lindsay invented an entirely new concept of connecting steelwork with the Lindsay Bolt Adapter, allowing simple, fast clamping, instead of often difficult and time consuming drilling or weldings. The idea was to revolutionise millions of future connections on countless projects worldwide and the combination of the two words ‘Lindsay’ and ‘Adapter’ explains the formation of the now famous brand names.

Today, Engineers across the world choose Lindapter for projects as varied as Rome Train Station, Gatwick Airport, Alexander Hamilton Bridge, Dubai Shopping Mall and Gautrain Rapid Rail Link. Whether joining primary structural sections, securing secondary beams or suspending building services, Lindapter has a proven and trusted solution.

Lindapter has passionately grown over 75 years from a modest family business, into a reputable global brand and strives to continue its proud heritage inventing ‘technical innovation in steelwork connections’.
