mobile vehicles.CabinetModule for
16 inputs digital / analogue16 outputs digital / PWM
In- and outputs for digital and analoguesignals with diagnostic function.
Usable as a controller for cockpit oroperating panels.
Central plug system for quickintegration into the cable harness.
CAN interface with CANopen protocol.
e1 type approval of theGerman Federal Office for Motor Traffic.
CabinetModule for mobile vehiclesThe decentralised CabinetModule provides the opportu-nity to use the inputs and outputs precisely in thosepositions in the cabin or in the operating panel wherethey are required. Wiring complexity is considerablyreduced. In this way many signals in the area around thedriver’s workplace, e.g. from switches, joysticks or signallamps, can be economically transmitted to the processcontrol.Due to the parameter setting of the input and outputfunctions the modules can be flexibly adapted to theirapplication. The flat design enables the integration indashboards and operating panels. The connection to the network is made via the CAN buswith CANopen protocol.

Functions and advantages
• Mechanical structureThe compact plastic housing provides all necessaryconnections for the inputs and outputs and the com-munication. The connectors for mobile use are lockedand reverse-polarity protected. The status LEDs for the inputs and outputs as well asthe LEDs for power / communication and error arelocated behind a transparent service lid. Using thecoding switches which are also located there, thenode number and the baud rate can be directly set.
• ConfigurabilityThe module provides high flexibility due to the con-figuration of the inputs and outputs. There is a choiceof analogue and digital inputs. The function of the analogue inputs can be set as cur-rent input 0...20 mA or as voltage input 0...10 V andas ratiometric voltage input 0...32 V. As regards theratiometric input, the analogue value is read withoutadditional reference voltage, only by internally readingback the supply voltage. A fluctuation of the supplyvoltage has no influence on the measured value. The short-circuit and overload-protected outputs canbe used as digital and PWM output.
• CANopenThe profile DSP 401 has been defined for digital andanalogue I /O modules. All input / output functions areconfigured from the user program via the object direc-tory.Setting of the baud rate and the node number is donevia CANopen commands or via the integrated codingswitches.
• Parameter setting via CoDeSys 2.3Parameter setting of the device functions and CANinterface is directly done from the application pro-grammed with CoDeSys 2.3.To do so, the ”Electronic Data Sheet“ (EDS) is embed-ded via the CoDeSys network configurator. Thus thestatus of the inputs and outputs is immediately avail-able.
