I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in 2011 at Empire State College. My BS was in Business and Economics with a concentration in Human Resource Management.

Why the MALET Program?

I am interested in learning more about the various forms of technology available to enhance the learning environment in my workplace. I am interested in the topics of social, ethical and legal issues related to learning automation. By receiving formal training in these areas, I will have a better understanding of how these items impact businesses today and ways I can incorporate these tools into the existing learning culture at my organization.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

I work for United Rentals, Inc. as Manager, Learning and HR Systems within the Human Resources department. I have been with the company since 2003.

In my position, I oversee web-based training for over 13,000 employees nationwide, as well as in Canada. One of my major accomplishments to date with UR was implementing the first eLearning offering back in 2004. Today web-based training makes up the largest source of training for our employees companywide. In the current learning environment, offerings include eLearning courses, games, simulations, interactive exercises, assessments, and videos. We are also beginning to look into mobile learning as an additional learning solution. 2003 Hired
